- The Volkswagen Golf GTI is a legend in the world of hot hatchbacks, and now that a new one is on the way, it's time to pay homage to the seventh-generation VW GTI. With its entertaining driving dynamics, cool plaid seats, and spacious trunk, the GTI is the perfect combination of playfulness and practicality. In this video, autoTRADER.ca's Road Test Editor Dan Ilika goes through the pros and cons of the VW GTI as well as the driving dynamics, infotainment system, tech, and what exactly makes it feel so special.

I feel like this guy became more Canadian as the review went on.
In North America, only the Golf R lets you fully disable ESP-pressing and holding the button only puts it into Sport ESP (and ASR disabled, shown in the video.) You can change this by coding the car to Sport ESP with a single press, and OFF with long press. No boost sounds because VW doesn't use a blow-off valve, but a diverter valve. Only 1 USB port but the headunit can have 2 devices paired to it at once.
Love this Golf VW GTi 2020. How much? Wanna Buy.
nice review bud...im an old guy but love my GTI's thinking of going to the new MK8 thoughts?
Thanks for the kind words! The latest GTI is an unsurprisingly great performer, but the climate and infotainment systems can be frustrating to use.
Loved it❤️
Good review and I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but, I find myself feeling like you have had 6 Espressos and are so wired 😳 you are yelling at me and have your speed at 1.75X normal !!! Geez, I know you are trying to engage the viewer but tone it down somewhat please ! That’s my suggestion. Otherwise it was informative.
Hahaha! Man, if there’s one place you’re bound to get unsolicited advice it’s in the comments on UA-cam...thanks for watching!
@@danilika9420 I love your enthusiasm! Thanks!
Great to drive but reliability is poor
Not true. Water pump only issue on the mk7

Not true.
@@deanmarr785 I thought the water pump issues were on the MK6 ?
hippest hipster....
I find it odd that you think the steering is not good. I mean VW is known for the accurate and responsive steering
