I had so many fan boy moments in France! Such an epic event and Chippa Wilson’s movie was sick!
Some precisions however on th Hoosegor part:
1) Hossegor is not in the Basque Country but in Les Landes
2) It is Le Prévent and not La Prévent
3) Santocha is not the lunbreak spot for Quiksilver employees, as the headquarter is located 45 min south in Saint Jean de Luz

I laugh when you say "incredably affordable properties" in Portugal because i'm portguese and i know that there is no such thing as an "incredably affordable propertie" in Portugal for a local. Maybe for a outsider. But for the portuguese, a 600€ minimum wage allow for no "affordable propertie", especially in Lisbon.
Well no one in the world can live alright in a capital with their minimum wage , even if it was a little more than 1000 euros. Outside the main city you can still find good places, 3 times cheaper. But yeah i agree that it is an imperative that the the medium wages grow up.
Well Stab and Kanoa are from Southern Cali, where I am originally from, and the average cost of a house in Orange County is probably around $600,000. It absolutely sucks.

Hi Red Bull Surfing, first of all I shall say that I'm a huge fan and that I'm drinking all of your uploaded content with thirst. No Contest is by far my favorite content, mostly due to the close look we get to the life on the CT. However there is something that is deeply disturbing in those videos- and that is the amount of time that is dedicated to dead animals- especially dead sea animals. This video is taking it to the extreme, when at some point Ashton is mumbling about over fishing sardines just after (and also before) feasting on a sea food plate. As if it is not the same thing.
I get it, you're trying to show the unique cultures at the different stops of the tour. However, it is always food and always animal-based food. I never saw him speaks about art, music etc.. As if main part of being on the tour is feeding on dead animals! And what about the athletes on the tour that are thriving on plant-based diet?
The reason it disturbs me the most, is not just seeing those animals. I get it, people enjoy this food and it's delicious. But the WSL and the surfing community is always trying to give a clear message that we the surfers must respect the sea and that we share it with the wonderful organisms that live in it. You would never share a content when your host will feast on a dolphin or even a shark-fin soup, so why should we see shrimps on a pan? What's the difference?
