It's fascinating to watch the avian brain (and bill) at work. So creative and patient compared to us. Thank You for sharing with us.
Thank you for watching
Thanks for sharing another wonderful video like always 🐦👍
Thank you!
Best video ever! I love house wrens, but most people only ever catch. Carolina wrens in videos. House wrens are my favorite bird. Thank you so much! And my five little granddaughters thank you as well.❤
Thank you for the kind words!
Amazing video, Terry. There’s nothing that bring us closer to birds than your wonderful videos. Thank you for your efforts!
Thank you for your nice words :)
Great video! Love how he removes some of the wood chips in order to bring in sticks. The chips were definitely not up to his standard lol! Did you modify a Bluebird box specifically for Wrens by making the opening smaller via that attached plate? I currently have Downy Woodpeckers in one of my Bluebird boxes, and Tree Swallows in the other hahaha. Thanks for the video
Thank you! I built that box for Red-bellied Woodpeckers. But European Starling tried to use it, so I put the hole reducer on hoping for Chickadees or some other small bird. I'm really happy the Carolina Wrens are starting to use it.
How wonderous! What a Blessing to watch!
Thank you for watching
That House Wren has more real property than me. : )
That is a big nest box for a House Wren ;)
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much

And a sparrow pair on the 2nd story
One
And my dogs go in out
Drink water
Bark
And they don't mind!!
Im the only yard with tons of trees
Plants
No pest or herbicide
Loads of worms
🐛 and a goldfish pond under a big willow for them to drink
We have hot 🥵 summers
( coastal NC)
Sounds like you have a great yard!
❤❤
Thank you
Such a great video! Looks like she removed all the shavings!??
Thank you, maybe not all but a lot
I read before that by putting the shavings in, you give the birds the opportunity to "excavate" their own home.
Nice video! How did you successfully prevent house wren from damaging bluebird or chickadee‘a nests? I tried wren guard which does not seem to be very helpful. I’m wondering if setting up multiple nest boxes will be effective. Thanks!
Thank you! I've never had problems with them. But I do have multiple nest boxes
They sure like sticks. Thankfully they haven't found my blue bird house yet. But all of the bird houses at my parent's house are just stuffed with sticks.
Yes they do like sticks!
