A nice review of a cool kit. My understanding is that during reconstruction the curators have found a treasure trove of items. Gum packages, photographs , notes etc.
Iconic Aircraft, saw the actual nose section in the Smithsonian Institute when on holiday in the U. S. Its currently undergoing conservation. Happy Crimbo to your and yours.
I have the first iteration of this kit. One of nicest models out there. I have their Ki-21 in 1/48 as well. Rumor has it that ICM may have a HP Hampden in 1/48 for 2025??????? Makes sense if they are trying to kit various medium bombers.
I have one of the earlier iterations of this kit. Would be nice if they would offer the decals separately for us. I would like to see them offer a B-25 series. We haven't had a decent one of the B/C since the old Accurate Miniatures one that Academy still carries, but it still has their old school instruction sheets. Absolutely abominable like the old Italeri style exploded views. I know, I am working through one of the TBF-1s right now. You and Yours have a very Merry Christmas Peter.
Thanks for the review, Peter. Always enjoy the mix of history, plastic, instructions and relevant chat. Keep up the great work mate. I've been holding off buying one of these for some reason after years of hoping for a new tooling. I think I'll get this version. Cheers
Always enjoy your reviews....although they can be expensive! I have the first version in my stash. Half way through your review I am already thinking do I go for the this kit or just a set of decals! Anyway, take care and have a Merry Christmas!
What an excellent model kit Peter. I have been waiting for this version of the Martin B-26 Marauder since your first review of this fantastic model from ICM. I am presently awaiting delivery of this kit and the paint set, plus a set of the God Hand single blade cutting nippers you reviewed a few weeks ago. ICM are definitely up there with the other major manufacturers now. What other subjects will appear in the future? Wait and see….
That is a very nice kit. I have the Monogram anniversary edition kit. I also bought aftermarket decals for Flak bait. Enjoy your build with this kit.👍👏👏
If you are into doing the same planes in different schemes its for you. But one is enough for me,even though i have space. Its subject detail that makes me buy kits ,not loads of schemes from the same subject in general.
Lovely kit l got the first release with a set of paints I wished l held off but l suppose l can get after-market decals if l want to do FLAK BAIT not far from me at what is now Stansted Airport in WW2 was a B26 airbase l think, l was luckly enough to go to Normandy and in a museum at Utah beach and there was a B26 it was the first one l had seen quite an aircraft up close, wish more manufacturers paid as must attention to detail as ICM like with the clear parts and your right it is a nice story 👍 P.S always said you were a celebrity 🤣

Not a rumour. ICM has confirmed this. I am waiting for the preorder to come up. 😊
Cheers Peter, nice video of a wonderful plane. A charmed life indeed. Considering all the missions flown, she never had any fatalities on board.
Just got the kit haven't opened it yet thx for review 👍

Is the Eduard one not good? (I haven't seen it in detail).
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab Is it 1\48th didn't know they made one.

After two years of building tanks, maybe its time for me to go for an airplane? ICM would be a good choice then?
@@felippejonsson6078 Yes Tamiya or ICM or Airfix would be my recommendations. 👍🏻
Always 1/32 for WW2 aircraft but appreciate the review. 🙂👍

@@martinB68 Then I recommend the D-Day version. 😉
In the beginning they *did* use the rear bomb-bay too.. sadly neglected in the kit :(
@@EmilPozarphoto It has windows there in the kit, modified later
