I have been scrapbooking for 20 years or so, saw this product and got so excited. Finally something new for scrapbookers without using pre packaged kits with ephemera. I got so excited, ordered it and have not used it yet. Love your calm demeanor. Hopefully you will be demonstrating more for 12" x 12" pages.

Yes, you can but we would recommend only using the texture paste with *one* of your stencils and making this the last one you use as it would not allow the other stencils to lay perfectly flat. Be sure to clean your stencil immediately afterwards to avoid the paste drying on your stencil :) Hope that helps!
I used mine for the first time yesterday with the Sizzix hummingbird layering stencil, and it far exceeded my expectations. I have several stamping platforms, and this is by far the easiest to use. The fact that you don't need to use magnets to hold your card stock gives you a larger surface area to stamp or stencil. I can live with the sticky grid sheet having to be replaced eventually because the experience of stamping and stencilling is much more precise and clean.

🤩 I love the simplicity of the registration system and the sleek look. I am a fan of layered stencils but sometimes the tape hinge technique is nerve racking and time consuming. Will the stamp press attachment ( clear plate) easily come off the hinges when turned over? Thanks for the demo!

The holes on the green stencil adapter are for the ability to move and place the stencil adapter in different places on the grey hinge! Allowing more versatility with your stenciling, as you can place it where you'd like to stencil 🙂

Can this be used with red rubber stamps? Also can you take the top off and turn upside down on the bottom to ink it up thus saving on the extremely large work area needed to use this tool.
hello I watched your great salesman . I just received it and it at first was hard but not hard. I can see where you need to practice a lot if your a mixed media artist. I did try it . I really liked the way they came out. I do want to say I think the price point is too steep. Especially when introducing a new item.😢
Is it possible to remove the rubber stamp from the block? If so (I use acrylic ones on clear blocks), I would apply Alene's Tack it Over and Over Again glue on it and use it like an acrylic stamp. Just a thought.
I thought this tool could cover all my stenciling and stamping needs with clear and cling stamps, but the manufacturer has been avoiding to answer my questions about the cling stamps and it was not demonstrated in this video.

I see only one potential problem... that sticky sheet! It will eventually lose its stickiness and will pick up specks of glitter, dust, and hair even if you replace the cover sheet between uses. It is good that you can purchase replacement sheets, but as with all products, they will be discontinued at some point in the future..
Hi! If you look after the sticky grid sheet it will last multiple times. It has lasted our designers around 50 uses. By re applying the paper sheet onto the sticky grid sheet after use and cleaning/storing the Stencil & Stamp tool protectively it will help longer it's uses 🙂

There are sticky mats available for cardmaking, every major brand has them and there are lots of knock off versions, they come in all kinds of sizes. Sticky sheets have been used in electronic cutting machines for many years, so those are always available as well. Plus, because they have been around for so long, people have figured out how to make them sticky again. One way is coating them in zig two-way glue.

They are Sizzix products, on their website hth. I personally like the new domed blending foams better myself you get a more controlled application than the flat ones. Amazon has generic ones 20 for $9.99. they all have the same velcro adherance to the blending tool of your choice. Ranger, Tonic, Sizzix etc all have different style tools, short, long, wood, plastic. The foam though is all the same.
Like the other review, I have two concerns. One being the adhesive sheet will lose its ability to hold the paper and using other stencils created by companies. The green adapter is really not needed.
The sticky grid sheet if properly looked after will last a good number of times! Out designers have been able to get up to 50 uses out of it. The green adaptor allows you to position your stencil perfectly to get the best precision 🙂
@@sizzix I meant if the sticky tape of the converters can be used several times on other stencils or I have to buy several for my other brand stencils.
Kathy you probably won't either. The owner of the Misti sued every manufacturer in the US in Amber Heard style fashion complete with harassing customers in the comments sections of competitors online who were unhappy with the lawsuits. She claims the hinge is her design and claims rights to it. So far she has won 100% of the lawsuits. Outside of the US there's several various well made stamping and positioning platforms. You can bet your eyeteeth the Misti owner is waiting with her lawyers on speed dial if they attempt to produce or sell this in the US. Sadly smaller companies without deep pockets had to choose how much of a loss they could sustain and most took a big loss completely ditching their products. The hinge design is not dynamic, we have them on all our doors from our cars to our kitchens, how she keeps winning lawsuits is beyond me. May as well try and patent the circle based on that criteria!
The Stencil & Stamp Tool has no edges so you can use a larger paper size on the platform, using the grid for precision and sticky grid sheet to keep the paper in place. 😊

Could I ask you please what do you clean your 4 layer stencils with when using Tim Holtz distress inks? How do you store the blending sponges and do you need to rinse them out after using them?
Hi there. The blending sponges fit in the back of the mini inks and I don't bother cleaning them if you stick to the same colour inks. With the bigger ink pads, I use velcro on the back of the pads to stick them down. If you want to wash the sponges, wash in warm soapy water and leave to air dry.

Hi! Watercolors are not ideal for layering stencils/stencils as the medium will bleed underneath the stencil due to the water.

If it as me I’d clean it after I got it where it want sticky anymore then air dry and try it don’t hurt to try if u bought it

You can but, they must be used towards the bottom of the tool rather than at the top when the hinge is located. ☺️

Ranger, Tonic, Sizzix etc all have different style tools, short, long, wood, plastic. The foam though is all the same.

Like the other review, I have two concerns. One being the adhesive sheet will lose its ability to hold the paper and using other stencils created by companies. The green adapter is really not needed.
The sticky grid sheet if properly looked after will last a good number of times! Out designers have been able to get up to 50 uses out of it. The green adaptor allows you to position your stencil perfectly to get the best precision 🙂
Hi what if my stencils don’t have holes in them?
We have stencil adapters you can apply to your existing stencils which will then fit onto our stencil and stamp tool, they can be re-used too!

Are the stencil converters repositionable?
The universal stencil convertors have 2 circular holes either side that place into the placeholders on the bottom of the stencil adaptor 🙂
@@sizzix I meant if the sticky tape of the converters can be used several times on other stencils or I have to buy several for my other brand stencils.
Since Pete suggested keeping the backing sheet, I would think it’s re-positional.

Kathy you probably won't either. The owner of the Misti sued every manufacturer in the US in Amber Heard style fashion complete with harassing customers in the comments sections of competitors online who were unhappy with the lawsuits. She claims the hinge is her design and claims rights to it. So far she has won 100% of the lawsuits. Outside of the US there's several various well made stamping and positioning platforms. You can bet your eyeteeth the Misti owner is waiting with her lawyers on speed dial if they attempt to produce or sell this in the US. Sadly smaller companies without deep pockets had to choose how much of a loss they could sustain and most took a big loss completely ditching their products. The hinge design is not dynamic, we have them on all our doors from our cars to our kitchens, how she keeps winning lawsuits is beyond me. May as well try and patent the circle based on that criteria!

This looks wonderful except for the mat size. Why in the world would Sizzix make this narrower than 8.5” (letter size paper US)?!?!

Looks amazing, love the whole concept. Do you know when it will come to Australia and where I would be able to purchase the board plus the stencils from? Could you please tell me the size Tim Holtz distressed ink pads that Pete is using? Are they the mini ones judging by the size of the sponge heads?

Could I ask you please what do you clean your 4 layer stencils with when using Tim Holtz distress inks? How do you store the blending sponges and do you need to rinse them out after using them?
Hi there. The blending sponges fit in the back of the mini inks and I don't bother cleaning them if you stick to the same colour inks.
With the bigger ink pads, I use velcro on the back of the pads to stick them down. If you want to wash the sponges, wash in warm soapy water and leave to air dry.
Can you use the stamp tool with rubber stamps, not just clear/
As long as they are a similar thickness to the clear stamps and not on a block they will work 🙂
