We take a virtual walk through Whitby on the east cost of North Yorkshire in the UK to check out what this beautiful picturesque seaside town has to offer the many tourists and visitors that head there each year.
Whitby UK is famous for many things: it's a traditional seaside resort with Blue Flag beaches, and has some of the best fish and chips around. But there's so much more to visit in Whitby... With Blue Flag beaches and many attractions, including the world-famous steam train, North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Whitby is a seaside town in Yorkshire, northern England, split by the River Esk. On the East Cliff, overlooking the North Sea, the ruined Gothic Whitby Abbey was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for “Dracula”. Nearby is the Church of St. Mary, reached by 199 steps. The Captain Cook Memorial Museum, in the house where Cook once lived, displays paintings and maps. West of town is West Cliff Beach, lined with beach huts.

Whitby's harbour is bustling with life with small fishing boats to larger vessels ready to whisk visitors off on trips around the bay.
► WHITBY ABBEY
High on a cliff above the Yorkshire seaside town of Whitby UK are the gaunt, imposing remains of Whitby Abbey. Whitby Abbey was recently named Britain’s most romantic ruin.
► BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA EXPERIENCE
The Dracula Experience is a unique tour through the Dracula story and the connection to Whitby. Using animated scenes, electronic special effects and live actors.

► WHITBY BEACH
Whitby Beach is a sandy blue flag beach, set among fine stretches of the Yorkshire coast with spectacular cliffs and bays.

The sea and harbour are still a magnet. They, along with the abbey ruins, quaint narrow streets, sands, museums and its many historical associations, make Whitby a major destination for tourists.
► WHITBY PAVILION
Whitby Pavilion Complex nestling into the West Cliff has wonderful views over the North Sea. The Victorian Theatre and the refurbished Northern Lights Suite provide a multi-functional venue suitable for almost every type of event.
► WHITBY WEST PIER
Take a lovely stroll along the Pier, visit the Lighthouse and stop and take a look at the beautiful sea views. Please be aware that the end of the Pier is closed for safety reasons.
► WHALE BONE ARCH
Original Whale jaw bone arch was erected some time after 1853. A replica was presented to Whitby by Norway in 1963. The current replacement was donated by Alaska in April 2003.

I just love Whitby it's one of my most favourite places in the UK. The beauty of Whitby is that as a 60-year-old man I feel quite young with all of these octogenarians!

Awwww I love Whitby very lovely .the little church at the top of the steps was always my fave . Beautiful and very different . With the enclosed seating really lovely . Whitby Jet shop also beautiful
. Couldn’t clime the steps now tho but would love to watch out for the vampire at the top,. 😂 haha. These little shops are wonderful been done up beautifully hasn’t it wish I was going tomorrow . Been in Hadley s beautiful

Yeah it is an old one - can't remember exactly when I filmed it - think it was when I first got my last camera!

Went to Whitby 2 years ago.Never again,you didn't show the street up from the harbour where the fish and chip shops and booths are.Gulls attacking people for their ice cream and fish and chips. The only good parts are oover the bridge towards the abbey ,the abbey was lovely.
