      Love the sound that you're getting ! What's the signal chain on your vocals ? - Mic, preamp, effects etc.. .. Also does the guitar really record well or do you have to doctor it up quite a bit ? Thanks Sean

      Nice. Just a heads up, the Godin A6 Ultra gig bags are quite a bit better. However, the guitar sounds a little muffled unplugged due to the chambered body. I like the Acoustisonic and the A6 Ultra.

    I just got one off of reverb and I wasn't expecting it to feel so premium. It feels amazing in the hand and unplugged it's not a bad acoustic guitar at all. Especially if you are in a dorm room or have roommates. I've heard it compared to a Thinline which is absurd. I have a ja-90 Thinline and this is way louder. It is kind of amazing and not just a gimick.

    Factoring in all the sounds it creates, it’s the Swiss Army knife of guitars and worth it. Save up for it.... you’ll have the money before you know it. Delayed gratification can be a powerful feeling. “I worked extra and now it’s mine!”

      @@chestyvulva i bought mine in 2019 when the telecaster was released and its still p good. its the guitar i practice with when im just chillin at home. its built really well and does exactly what i need it to. the price still isnt great. i only play it electric when im showing friends the guitar. i dont regret it, but if you have to think twice about spending that kind of money, its honestly a better idea to buy a solid full body acoustic and an american strat or something and still save $500

      I was thinking about buying one through a website that lets one make payments from my brother’s work. Gonna have to study them. The one I listened to was 2.5k (you pay extra on these websites cause you get to make payments) and that particular one didn’t seem worth it. I’ll check out the others later. Edited: I noticed the website was trying to charge me a good grand more than what the guitar is worth straight up. Also, Daniel is wrong, IMO, this is the prettiest one!

    As a gigging and studio rig, nothing checks all the boxes. But these Fenders get very close and being eclectic with one or two rigs is important. Having such versatile sound in one lite guitar to use in a variety of venues, all with different sound reinforcement set ups, is wonderful. This enables you to focus on the music without the back and joint pain of lugging tons of gear.... I'm a fan of these instruments.

    Great review .. it’s definitely one of those items that you really have to use in order to understand it. Yes you can buy a nice acoustic and a nice electric for the price of this thing, but the versatility of this is just amazing. I find myself grabbing this for all manner of practice these days. It is well built and lightweight. Also that 3rd position is awesome. Find myself using that one and the electric clean mostly.

Not sure why you have double-tracked the song at the end which is a brilliant way to show off the guitar. And... most of all, thank you for not hiding the real guitar behind a load of distortion. I have had the Acoustasonic Telecaster for a little over a month, and agree with everything you said, from the versatility to the price/value to the gig bag. I put 10-50 phosphor bronze Stringjoy (jury still out…they seem a little too dead for the short time they’ve been on) so it still gets great acoustic tones but plays and bends the high E and B strings like an electric. I’m playing Americana, and it’s really nice to be able to play acoustic rhythm parts and switch to a Telecaster bridge pickup for a lead. I’m playing it through a Dr Z Jetta which I’ve dialed in pretty clean…not the best electric tone,, but a decent trade off.

      @@seandaniel23 Yeah, agreed...Besides the obvious price advantage, it is a bit simpler, but I don’t need a ton of different sounds, and don’t care much about fretboard wood differences, or cavity cover materials...for me the 9 volt is preferable...thanks again for the great vid Sean...Andrea is a gem with an exquisite voice too!

    I remember trying this out for an hour at NAMM a year ago. It immediately felt like....it was just a novelty guitar. Didn't sound good and the wood felt like synthetic plastic. The idea was cool but...why not just use your acoustic or electric. it's like those cars that are also boats. It's cool and different but...you wouldn't want to take a date out in it.

    • @franknada8235
      @franknada8235 3 роки тому

      This ⬆️ Yes. If one needs "semiacoustish" + electric there are really good (and cheaper) electrics with extra piezo pickups and that works very well. And then one has a _really good electric tone_ .
      Or have new pickup system in a real, beautifully resonating and dynamic acoustic.
      This Acoustasonic is just a drop of the ball, a compromise in all tones, none of them really pleasing. Sounds like a plastic guitar. At best it just gets the job done with a band, but playing it alone with those dead and soulless tones, no no no.

      Yeah I personally really don’t like the wideness of acoustics so I’m looking into this as a acoustic alternative. I’ve tested acoustic electrics in person I didn’t love the sound. So I would love to test this out in person. This is currently out of my price range right now tho.

What’s the deal with volume and master? Channels? I don’t know what pre-amp means! I don’t know where to begin to get a spanky or creamy sound. Teach me to sparkle! I can feedback real good though.
