One of the reasons I love watching the Chinese do renovations is the fact that they use and renovate old buildings and furniture. I am quite passionate of the reuse of everything if you can achieve it. I live in a remote village in England that was founded in 970AD and like other parts of my country we restore and look after what was already here. From the castles to the palaces to the Tudor buildings still standing and lived in. My own home is 190 years old and it took us 16 years to restore and renovate it. I now own a reclaimers yard because I love old things. The trades that are sadly dying out need to be kept. Loved this and I love the courtyard concept.
Just amazing what one can do with hard work and imagination. Plus, everyone who worked on this house appears to be talented as well! The result is so wonderful. This video made my heart so happy for this young lady!❤

It's becoming so modern as if it is a good thing, which I find so sad. Please keep some of the Chinese architecture, I've always found it so beautiful. I loved the use of wooden furniture and white walls and the simplicity of it all. The garden and rooms felt so serene and the kitchen was so lovely. I admire her for taking on such a huge task and for doing so much on her own, and of course with the help of the others involved.

I had my favourite bed in storage for years, now I had the opportunity to get it and use it, it’s a king size and mattresses were a fortune. Then I found Endy in Canada, ordered the king and was worried because it was cheaper usually you get what you paid for. It came rolled up in a box just like hers. I pulled it out and the instructions say to open it on your bed, there’s a very good reason for that, because I used the plastic cutter they sent. It sprang open like a jack in a box boom 💥 LOL 😝 IT SENT ME FLYING, 😂 but it was the best cost effective thing I’ve ever bought. I love it, it’s 8 years old and still perfectly firm but soft. 😅Endy it’s so comfortable, I love my bed. 😊

I see a few big flaws with this: zero insulation, and zero pest exclusion work. Rats can easily come in under the roof tiles. That negates a lot of what is done here. This has to be in China, btw. They'll gut an interior (though not shown) to "avoid bad chi" regardless of condition. Think they did an excellent job. It was smart to choose and older building to renovate...😮
