    This whole rally was as a result of optimism that the Fed is done with hiking interest rates, btc eft and approvals. The question now is, where do we go from here? Are we seeing a cycle of long term gains until Q2 2024? let’s say I decide to throw In $50k? Good or bad timing?

      It's crucial to have a well-thought-out strategy and not make impulsive moves based on short-term market fluctuations. Patience and a long-term perspective are key. You should consider a market expert to guide you.

      Accurate asset allocation is crucial right now, and some individuals use hedging strategies or allocate part of their portfolio to defensive assets for market downturns. financial advisory is vital for achieving this. This approach has helped me stay financially secure for over five years, yielding nearly $1m ROI

    In every crisis, there is an opportunity," as the saying goes. The 2024 recession, while challenging, presents unique avenues to amass wealth. First, it's essential to remember Warren Buffet's advice: "Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful." During recessions, assets often undervalue. By investing wisely in stocks, real estate, or businesses during this downturn, you position yourself for significant returns during the economic recovery.

      An obvious way to invest for a recession is to buy shares in businesses that are likely to experience steady demand even in a downturn. Typically, those are consumers staple, utilities and healthcare companies. But of course, such decisions can’t be made by an average joe, a financial advisor is highly recommended in making this decisions..

      Since the outbreak of 2020, which had a significant impact on the market, I've been running all of my investment decisions through an investment coach because their entire philosophy is centered around using a high-profit oriented blueprint while simultaneously going long and short, as well as reducing risk exposure as a hedge against inevitable downtrends. Underperforming is almost impossible when combined with their access to strange data and analysis.

    I used to think everybody went broke during the Great Depression and other major crashes but they didn’t… Some made millions, I also thought everybody went out of business during these times but they didn’t, some went into business, there's always depression/recession for some people and there's always a good time for others, it's all about perspective.

    • @DigitalHaze65536
      @DigitalHaze65536 9 місяців тому

      What the gloom and doom never covers is that the Fed buys the debt to lower the yield and save the stock market. The government keeps spending stimulating the economy in some ways. The jobs/inflation reports are BS, meant to make things seem better than they really are. The financial media keeps hyping stocks up and enough retail joins in the help prop it up too. The options market is manipulated to prevent having to pay out puts. These are mostly the reasons we don't get a crash. It WILL come at some point, so while it's good to take advantage of the short term gains you always need a good amount of cash too for when that time comes, because that time will be a surprise to all but the elite/connected/insiders, and we all know it goes down a lot faster than it goes up.

    As an income investor looking to maximize monthly pay outs vs portfolio appreciation, do I mind higher rates? As soon as the yield on my bond portfolio (401K) hit 4%, I started funneling money from my other Growth and S&P positions. That Bond Portfolio is now yielding over 5.5%. I am buying into it aggressively and reinvesting the monthly payouts. My goal is to have its monthly payouts match my current monthly income. The fund is a mixture of global, corporate and US bonds. As of now, the higher the rates the cheaper the shares, and the more I can buy with it yielding 5% or better. That said, since I started this big move, the portfolio is up about 3% on the year. As of now, it looks like I caught a big chunk of the bottom.

    Hey, where do we pick up that contrarian gene for trading the next decade? Ha. Felix is one of a kind. He exhibited that gene at an early age. Didn't go to college and instead became an analyst at a bank where he taught himself the business and learned about market cycles. Barry Ritholz: "The early 1980s saw Zulauf move UBS to overweight equities (65% versus the traditional 50% in Europe). In the Fall of 1987, he ordered all of his portfolio managers to move to zero percent equities - an unprecedented move (right before the Crash and it almost got him fired) for a conservative European bank."

    At present, the most prudent consideration for everyone should be diversifying their income sources, ones not reliant on government support, particularly given the ongoing global economic challenges. This remains an opportune moment to explore investments in assets like digital currencies, stocks and more. thanks to Davina Norman for her guidance in these fields, her proficiency is outstanding

    I believe the historical data points to gold 10 to 20x over the next 1 to 2 years. Once you calculate the inflation data gold should already be close to $10k an ounce. It's the manipulation by central banks and JPM that's artificially hold the gold price down. Just my thoughts.

    Stocks are falling and bond yields are rising, but markets still don’t seem convinced the Federal Reserve will pursue plans to keep increasing interest rates until inflation is under control. I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $117k stocck portfolio, what’s the best way to take advantage of this bear market?

    Interest rate change both sides is depression. If interest rate is increased, it would mean that USA reduces printing of money, but at the same time, the interest payment also goes up, so their obligations. If the interest rates go down, then people may demand more loans to put into stock market, which is serveral times to their interest rate returns. So only thing that can happen is that interest rates go down eventually, stock markets crash along with gold and other assets, and there is a recession, job losses to some extent, salary reductions to great extent, reducing demand for additional money printing (people only get loans for genuione reasons and not for luxurious life or putting into stock market). But then taxes also go down. Thus, anything you do, is still worst that human history has seen, because ofUSA printing of dollars.

    Don't know whether he means "contrarian gene" literally. While some seem to have a natural tendency toward this from a young age, I'm unaware that any gene has been identified as being associated with a contrary nature. I suspect that it has much to do with one's environment/learning. We are capable of becoming better critical thinkers and benefiting from the wisdom of contrarian speculations/investments. Fortunately, most do not develop this capacity.

    Guest is knowledgeable but I disagree with his thesis if Oil going quadruple. This is simply being the inflation back which is not possible in high interest rate environment. If oil goes to above 130. This simply means inflation above 5% which is quite unlikely going foreword. It Oil may not have a lot downside from here.
