The 01-08 RMs and the 08-17 RMZs have always looked like how a dirt bike should look
Sick, absolutely sick. One thing I'd love for Suzuki to do, is go back to their early 80s colors. The yellow and blue was so good together.

Test rode this bike when it was a brand new, one of the best back then, and probably still now.

I had an 05 too, with all the goodies. had a blast for a few years in ocotillo wells with it. Then I moved back to Massachusetts and almost died in the woods on it. Some good hospital time, neck still hurts. I miss desert riding.
Suzuki dirt bikes fenders are some of the best looking. This bike is pure art.
What a beauty!! there is only one other that is nicer...mine!! lol I restored a 07 ' 250 ,every nut and bolt and seal was done ,Hot Rod crank , Vortec piston...the frame rails dont have a dent on them, they are one of my favorite bikes ! Thanks for the video Ken , like I have said many times, there is no other channel like yours, when it comes to two smokers!! or anything two wheels!
Great example, the 2006 Rm 250 was the highest power offered, for 2007 and 2008 they toned down the power delivery for off road riding. So glad I still have my 06 that I bought new. 😁

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Love RM's,my first full sized bike was an 82 RM 125. Man I miss that bike,the glorious full floater let my 13 year old self loft it too the moon with pillow soft landings.

They have a beautiful vintage 2 stroke Suzuki RM 500 in their museum collection. This bike I'm talking about is almost mint. I don't think they will ever sell it, since they are so rare and hard to find, and I wouldn't blame them for never wanting to sell it. Their RM 500 is probably the nicest one that exists in the USA.

I seen that wheelie hold strong at 2000 rpm, basically idling and no problem...lol.....the sound reminds me of that same era 2005-2007 kx250....intoxicating to the ear drums!!!!...at least for us 2 stroke.giys!!!!...lol

I love my RM250. what I have noticed with these bikes though is the top end tends to rattle no matter how well setup. The fix is a Wossner piston I’ve got it ported as well and it frickin rips love the Wossner first time running them and got to say there my go to now for any 2 stroke. Would love to hear what the manic mechanic and the wizard have to say about them. Cheers Captain 👍🏽💯
That Suzuki is Running Clean.. I’m just restored a 99 rm 250 for my self and yes I’ve spent about 4 k aus on it doing it all my self only thing I didn’t do was the cylinder plating.. I have a 2018 rmz 450 as well and I love the 99 rm .. i had 2000 rm 125 back 03 when I was 16 I place 3rd in my mx club championship series
My buddy had an 06 carmichael edition it was so sick and handled like it was on rails he still gets sick about selling it 😂

That is probably the best looking vintage 2 stroke MX RM 250 y'all ever sold, although y'all have sold quite a few nice ones over the years. This bike may as well be new, since everything on the bike is new, and I have no doubt that it rides like it's brand new. My favorite looking vintage 2 stroke RM 250 is the RM 250 that belongs to your buddy Mark in Florida that owns Ride Florida. That is the moat beautiful dirtbike I have ever seen in my 50 years of life. I would hate to think about all of the money he put into that dirtbike to customize it. I can't blame you for wanting to buy it from Mark, and I can't blame Mark for not wanting to sell it. ML&R.

Love this video and the enthusiasm. I've got an rm250 2007. Late model RM's are the Pinnacle of the 2 stroke era. Note to Kaplan - the 07 and 08 rm250s were identical, some changes made to the 06 vs 07/08.

Ken is the number one. motorcycle end dirt bikes and electric bikes his knowledge on these motorcycles is absolutely awesome if that don't get yoy hard crack me up Ken that's a really nice RM250 that's pretty much my class I would ride in I had a 2003 RM my buddy did a lot of the work for me when we used to race pretty much I had like a little mechanic absolutely amazing Kaplan Cycles God Bless America❤

I'm an 80s and 90s CR guy but my best friend had an 06 rm 250 and it was probably the best all around 250t I've ridden. It had power all over the rev range, handled nice and tight, good suspension etc. I think the CRV powered hondas had more overrev but these RMs had so much more everywhere else

Great bike . I’ve always been a huge fan of that year . They steered 200% the handling was awesome but they did lack power stock .
These RM’s didn’t lack power at all. In fact the Suzuki and Yamaha 250’s were the rocketships in the class. I own one and can say without hesitation that the RM250 has a beast of a motor!!
