James I never had good luck with any device that uses 3 AAA batteries like flashlights. My B&H Tac light is still working, switch hasn't failed but it goes through batteries. I might get a lithium ion kit. You might be able to connect a 4.5 volt DC power adapter to the accent light. If you have a 3.7 volt DC charger from an old nokia cell phone, you can use that. Note that it might flicker because you're using an AC adapter on a DC device.

Hey there, and I'm sorry if I missed your question on Twitter! I was writing for another blog back around 2011-2012 about silly and deceptive ads I used to see on the internet. Eventually products in the As Seen on TV genre came across my desk, and I seemed to gravitate toward those. I'm pretty sure WaxVac was the first As Seen on TV product I ever reviewed. Ms. Mitchell is still out there touting the Red Copper brand!

The problem with the Brass Bullet is 1 hour is not very long if your doing yard work. I can see it failing after 4+ hours, but just 1? That's crazy.
