System Shock 2 Secrets, Glitches and Fun Stuff

- After Thief: The Dark Project came the sequel to System Shock on the same engine. While keeping some aspects of Thief and bringing its own character building to the table the result was a game with a lot of nuances which are fun to play around with.

You can take the Items from the Tutorial-Levels in the beginning of the game out of tutorial levels by "having them in your hands", meaning you click and hold the item with the left mouse button in the inventory and then walk through the level-exit. They are then dropped to the floor. Do that for alle items, one by on and pick them up when all items are out. You will have them in your inventory after your tour of duties.
20:14 "Smoking [...] won't kill you"
You heard it here.
I thought pyrofield was useless, now I'm getting it every run
I love that small robot easter egg at the end.
It's extra funny considering the entire game's setting
Hopefully, a Thief video would be forthcoming in the future
Good on you for making this video and showing off those mods. SS2 was pretty experimental and I only played through it once, but now I want to try it again with a different build.
Dude, what is this? A channel with great content and delivery, with just 10 subscribers? What madness.
Hey, amazing video man! Super in depth and easy to follow.
Welcome back Snuggleduck!
Such a great video! Thanks, man! SS2 is one of my favourite games, and it was really exciting to learn all the stuff you presented.
God how shallow Bioshock is compared to this timeless masterpiece.
Nah
Bioshock is more fun to play by a Longshot.
@@JosephWalker-ip7pd By that logic, Time Crisis trumps all.
dude a video like this for SS2 is AWESOME your channel is great why is it so smoll???
Amazing vids, comment to bump this mans algorithm
Wish i saw this last year when i was going through ss2
Shotguns in Reality are actually really accurate. I don't know where the Belief comes from, that Bullets take a 45° Turn as soon as they leave the Barrel.
I love the similarity with this and Thief.
Hoping the remaster leans more into the unintentional thief carryovers
Many have I used, and many not. thank for the demonstration.
Please do Thief.
I'm amazed they incorporated the footstep sounds (depending on surface).
28:26 You can actually use soma directly on the brain of the many to end the fight really quickly. Don't even have to destroy the stars!
Hey, i dont know why are the comments in the deus ex video are turned off, but i just wanted to say your videos are really good and most definitely deserve more views
I hope some of this is still relevant when the remake comes out
If.
@@Valet2 I could have sworn I saw it casually mentioned somewhere while I was getting the first one, but I straight up can't find anything on it now
Great video! I used to play with a mod that changed most character sprites for higher-res versions. It's been some years, so I don't remember the name of the mod, but I think it was available at Mod DB.
I don't play horror or FPS games much, but System Shock 2 was my exception, even though it triggered me a lot LOL! Spent many many hours slowly advancing through those corridors. Thanks for bringing back fond memories of space terror exploration. Cheers!
just find out about ur chanel
man u definitely underrated
content is top tier, soon u gonna make it big 4sure dog
keep pushing
Power armor is a noob trap. There's only one power charger in the Many and zero on the Rickenbacker. So unless you basically save up every battery for that moment and get maintenance ability up (which boosts total power charge of items, augments, armor) you're gonna be out of power and have no armor.
Hard to trust someone who puts up a screenshot of ModDB when mentioning all the great SS2 mods.
That stealth thing regarding Thief? It's there because the Thief engine was used pretty much wholesale for SS2 with a fair few bits tacked on mind you.
Someone needs to make a mod for this game to change the Hybrid line from "Silence the Discord" to "Silence the Redditors"
The Many are the Reddit hive mind
I wish nightdive remastered this instead of ss1
I've never played this game before - why are "midwives" enemies? Like, what?
This is cyborg womens without faces, under The Many's command.
@@Sd-cb3mz ...Does System Shock 2 have anything to do with 'childbirth' or 'motherhood', out of curiosity? Or, I don't know, 'hospitals'?
Can't think of any reason "Midwives" would be enemies, even if they are cyborg women.
@@PokeMaster22222 You should really play the game! It's super fun if you can put aside the old PC game jank.
@@PokeMaster22222*SPOILER ALERT* Cyborg midwives... they're turned into cyborgs (the wiki says it all if you're really interested) to look after the annilids. Annilids are the spawn of the Many, a minor enemy of the game.
@@PokeMaster22222they do - midwives tend to hatching annelid eggs
