What if there was a random selection of vehicles that gave a bonus point for winning that changes each day? As a concept for a future knockout series. It would give a benefit for using other vehicles while not limiting what vehicles people are able to use.
That's an awesome idea. Could even create some sort of tiering system where you award 2-3 points for lower tier vehicles and only 1 point for Mach Bike or Flamerunner

Top spots already have a much longer shock duration than lower spots, and especially here in the knockout, it's the lower spots you're competing with. Target shocking someone right in front of you in 11th can set them up for an elimination position that you don't have to take.
I feel like I’d wanna target shock 5th-7th (in a 12 player room) to make the back of the pack get really close together and give myself the best odds to win since I’d get a good item from the next set. I agree that target shocking the top 3 may mess up their race but probably doesn’t help you much. Also if they get a good respawn, it might even save time for them since they come back big with the other top players are still small

Hey Troy, I was just wondering if maybe for the future since so many people want to join these knockouts, maybe you should do a vetting sort of knockout before hand? Like a pre-series invitational kinda deal? Just an idea, but like then you could make sure the competitors are going to be worth their entrance, more people will get in more often, etc. And one idea I just had, was that making the end-of-season invitational could guarantee you a spot in the next KO tournament, so that way 1). Good players who devote time to winning one or sometime more KO's are rewarded 2.) We see more familiar faces 3.) if players only get into like 3 kos but they win one, then at least they're guaranteed to get in to the next KO tournament and hopefully get into more, I think that should be a little less frustrating for those players knowing that it wasn't all for nothing just because of bad luck. Just a thought though! I just love these KOs want em to keep being awesome :)
I really tried to get a point in the semi finals where I decided not to throw red shells to Troy hoping that I would get a point the easy way for finishing the semi final race if Troy and I were in the finals.
36:19 DK has a handling bonus along with his weight bonus so he's kind of like a buff king boo, DK definitely handles better than wario but isn't as fast since his mini turbo bonus is 3 points lower
