I just picked up the Gerbing 12v heated gloves with the all the stuff needed to make them work. Took about 40 minutes to install and man, they work good. My hands got hot pretty well. Granted it was 50 deg during my testing but I hit the highway and had them about half way. Worked excellent

Thanks for the nice discussion about cold weather riding. I have lotsa Gerbing gear. The dual controller governs the jacket liner on one channel and the gloves on the other channel. The glove channel also controls optional heated pants and heated insoles, if attached. The extra connector in the jacket that you mentioned is to make the connection to the pants and/or socks from the jacket liner.

Great video! Thanks for sharing all the great gear, will need it I want to ride as the weather gets colder! By the way, try out heated socks, I use them and they work great! Quick search on amazon and it will come up. If your going with another Harley, road King would be cool!

I had the 18 1200 Roadster stage 1 106 mph Third gear..19 Gsxs 750z a Very Fast but Comfy Bike,,just Sold it as I Traded my 18 on a 20 Fxlrs and didn't need 3 Registrations.. I'd Either be Looking at the Duke or Low rider S ,,Amazing Bikes John .
Let’s see what 2021 brings. They are hinting at a replacement to the sportster. A low rider S would be a cool build. Definitely would wait to see what 2021 brings.

some serious gear brother! good stuff! as far as a bike, how about a soft tail deluxe vintage style, maybe even chicano style. Lots chrome, crazy colors, big apes, and some long fishtail exhaust......some white walls with wire wheels............and wrap it!

How about a Fat Bob or Lowrider S? I'm partial towards the Fat Bob because it has a unique look. It would be really wild if you replaced the LED bar light with the old Dyna Fat Bob twin headlights.
Low rider S would be my choice, check out BLOCKHEAD from Florida on here, he’s doing a 131 build on one, really want one lol
@@michaelmitchell5909 maybe, but the way Blockhead is building his is one step at a time, stock to 131, change exhaust, the tuner followed by cam. Much more interesting than a straight engine swop

John for those of us in the NE you do a bike maintenance video geared toward the salt they use on the roads. I'm in Cleveland so we get brutal winters like you. Have you seen any long-term damage from the salt? How long in between washes in the winter etc. Just an idea.

Low Rider S is a great bike but there are already a couple of good channels building Low Riders S's. For selfish reasons, since I just bought one a couple months ago, I'd like to see a Sport Glide build. I don't know of any UA-cam channels in the US building Sport Glides and that bike has so much potential. Built to its potential it would rival some of the best Low Rider S builds currently available on UA-cam.

John you should wait for the Harley pan America comes out and that way you'll have both an adventure bike and a Harley.

What cleaning products do you use to clean your bike?
I suggest a Harley Low Rider S. Put adventure bike style tires on it. Never seen a Harley with adventure bike style tires. May work great could be the start of something awesome for people who want an adventure bike but want to stick with a Harley. May have to do some suspension upgrades for adventure style riding. Could be a pretty cool interesting build.
Do you prefer the heated gloves, or the heated grips.
You should get a adventure bike sounds like you like that type of riding it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks do what you love
Second HD should be a cheaper early 2000’s softail or dyna. Has some wear and tear on it. And let’s see you bring it back to life. As a better then stick. But not over the top build just a good mid budget build. Something maybe a new rider would have interest in.
How do you keep the salt or deice on the roads from eating up your bike. I'm in North Idaho and I won't ride till they sweep all the sand off the roads and it's rain enough to wash off the deice.

Sir, you made me spend money lol. Yup awesome video I bought the same liner. Does your bike have heated grips ? mine does and I am on the fence if I need them also. Although I do live in Miami when it comes to the cold I am a weakling, hate it.

Go a fat bob. Everyone does the low rider s. Here in oz, a cold day would be 50 minimum. Just curious as to why you wear a half helmet rather than a full face. Would be a lot warmer in your cold winters.
Wait for the H-D Pan America to satisfy those who want to see more Harley-Davidson and those that want an adventure bike. I am sure a lot of people are curious about how the Pan America will perform especially on long trips.

I think it has to be chopped what ever it is, always wanted to build a chopper from a rolling chassis but never got around to it, anyone can add parts to a bike but the custom chopper you don't see every day on UA-cam

Everyone is doing the Low Rider S. I know currently it’s the hottest bike that Harley is putting out but everyone is doing this bike. Do something different. No one is doing a Breakout and the Breakout is going away. Also the Fat Boy nobody’s doing anything with one of them. A Deluxe is another one to do. That bike like the Breakout is going away and that would be a nice out going tribute for either bikes.
