- Episode 10 of the Chicago & North Western Harvard Subdivision in N Scale. The Harvard Subdivision imagines a world where the CNW is still operating today, and features modern operations in N scale. This episode I build another 4 feet of benchwork, lay more track, and then walk through what a potential 1 hour operations session might look like that would recreate a typical weekday mid morning on the Harvard Sub.
Very good progress. Keep up the good work. 😎😎👍
I think this is really neat that you go over how you make your bench work which is something I've been trying to find how to do myself and the way you do it looks really well done. Personally I would think making all the bench work and then laying track rather than doing bench work and track in small phases would be easier but you still seem to be doing it very well. Itll be really nice to see this layout not "finished" but at least the bottom layer able to run trains around for more than a few feet
Watching the train schedule was neat!!!
Nice video, really enjoyed the details behind the operations. But I did see a couple of inbound Metra "scoots" heading locomotive first. Inbounds are always cab car first. But nice work
Well now THAT is embarrassing. I realized my mistake, I had left my first Metra consist out on the tracks and sent it back to the staging yard, and I used that clip in the video with the engine facing Chicago. The rest of the inbounds (like at 11:00) are cab forward as they should be!
You have very nice N scale layout with you being a CNW Fan I like that Double Stack train you are running I was wondering do you have a Càboose at the end of your train
Love this Video.
Love the layout.
Try putting in deval junction in des plaines
So inspiring… your comments about trying to get work done on the layout prior to work with school starting up again are one of the many challenges we face with kids is so very real. Will your metra operations include “push and pull” ? And will your Metra fleet be limited to F40s and mp36 units?
A nice long video!!
