@@wheystedmusic absolutely!!! though i ended up using NoirLabs Volume Buddy with your stock setup in the template as im customizing it rn, $18 but solid as hell for gain staging
I'm very new to producing, and I've seen where others use midi to set up their drums. In your video, your drums are loud and obviously cleaner. When I've done mine with midi, they seem compressed and not loud if that makes sense. Do you ever use midi for drums?
@@MrBolognaTony not really I’ve tried to before, but I just like working with audio in general for everything when I produce. Each way can achieve the same result, it’s just what you are most comfortable with
@@wheystedmusic I'm glad I discovered your channel, I'm going to be studying your techniques religiously because I really like how you produce. Once i get it down, I'll adapt to my own style. Thank you for these tutorials!
Hi bro. Ive been watching your mix + mastering guide and had a quick question. I'm trying to mix loud with kick + snare at 0db but as I turn more elements of my drop back on the master clips. Whats the remedy to this? To gradually turn down elements including kick and snare and maintain the master at 0db? Might be a stupid question but id appreciate a point in the right direction. Love the content mate
@@soundscapemusic8980 do you have a soft clipper at the end of your master. You are going to be “clipping” going into your master. But if it sounds blown out, you probably have leveling or mix issues with your track. Hard for me to say without hearing it.
@@nano7586 I’m not a riddim fan that much. But I don’t think it’s a plague, the double drops with hip hop vocals and a basic riddim drop are blowing up at every festival. It’s ironically elevating the bass music presence in communities that don’t really listen to it. So I have a love hate relationship with the current meta of riddim
This is exactly wat I’ve been looking for man! Thank you so much for breaking it down step by step! Please keep up the vidz bro!! 👌🔥

You want the master between -6 or -3 DB if you are wanting it mastered.
@ if sending to get it mastered. -6 is preferred

Where can we get this fake out rack?!?
No where at this time. Although a lot of request for it. I’ll probably upload it on Gumroad soon!
Is there anyway to get the template for the whole set up? I used the link in the description and it says that there are no files
@@julienmani9792 Ableton 11 template?
@@wheystedmusic yeah the Ableton 11 template
@@julienmani9792 I don’t have that project file but I’ll make a new tutorial with my new Ableton 11 template really soon to get that updated.
Is there a stock only rack for the fake out?
Everything is pretty much stock, all you would have to do is switch out the reverb. I haven’t released one but I’m thinking of making one 🙂

Riddim is such a plague.. it's like Trap music back in 2014 or so.. everywhere and it's difficult to find good Dubstep or music in general...
