    For the first time in a very long time I actually got a chicken curry to taste like home. I live in the US and there are no Kerala restaurants in my area or anywhere in 60 mile radius. I haven't been home in over two years and my culinary skills are next to zero .With your help I can finally enjoy a meal like I did back home. Thank you for filling my heart and tummy .

    Hello from Perth, Western Australia. I have used this recipe several times now. For my husband and I, I halve the chillis, for my other friends and relatives, I reduce again by half. It's still absolutely beautiful and flavoursome. I always make enough to have with chapati and rice the next day for lunch. Thank you Nisa.

    As usual.. Nisa Homey's recipes don't disappoint.
    Tried this, and it came out really well. Only difference was that my curry was not brown (like in the video) but orangeish-red. Taste was awesome though. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

    • @nisa-homey
      @nisa-homey  8 років тому

      Aw! thanks so much for the kind words of support :) ...about the color of the curry it could be either because the onions were not browned as shown in my video (check the color) or the color of the chilli powder or tomatoes. Anyways, its the taste that matters and I am so glad you enjoyed :)

    Great recipe. It's delicious. Thank you. It took me about three tries before I got it right (I initially used too much oil and tomatoes, so that it was too watery in the roasting the masala phase, but then I understood that it needs to be drier at that point, so I adjusted).

    Many thanks for this very informative video.You have filled-in many gaps in my culinary education (or lack thereof).I know its just terrible but until I saw this video I thought that curry was a powder and never asked myself where the powder came from.!Now I must learn where to find all these ingredients in Ireland and the cooking utensils as well.But at least I now have a brilliant teacher.Bon appetit.

    • @nisa-homey
      @nisa-homey  8 років тому

      Hi, thanks a ton for the kind words and I am sure you will get all these easily in Ireland at the indian grocery stores. Curry leaves are very good for health to drink as tea or even otherwise Hence I always add garden fresh curry leaves to my dish as it not only enhances the flavour but also gives a lot of health benefits. Thanks again for stopping by and so glad I could help you in this small way.

    I once had Nadan chicken curry in a kerala restaurant. It had coconut milk added to it. Is it ok to add coconut milk to this recipe as well?! If so which stage would you recommend to add the coconut milk for this recipe. I love the idea of slow roasting onions, tomatoes and the spices 😋

    Hi Nisha, I am wondering on your receipe for the GARAM MASALA MIX. I do not see it listed?. As for the Coriander Powder, what is your measurement?. Is it 1 TBLSPN?. That was not indicated on the list. It will be helpful if you could list the steps, for the receipe. I had to stop the youtube every now & then to follow the steps. Thanks again!.

    • @nisa-homey

      Hi Nisha, Noted. Thanks. Except for the Ingredients, the steps for this recipe is not listed though?. No problem, as I have paused the video to write it down. It will be helpful for other new viewers, if you do list the steps for this receipe. As for the Garam Masala, reference is made to look at the right?. I do not see anything listed. Thanks for looking into it.

    • @nisa-homey
      @nisa-homey  8 років тому

      Jasmin Peters For newer videos I am giving the ingredients list; and with regard to steps, it is shown in the video clearly so I assume the viewer can understand it easily, hence does not write the steps. Again, thank for the suggestions and for stopping by :)
