I just found you Kate. Love your videos super informative thanks! Love your ideas. My question is though how to stand out and get actual sales as the platform is super saturated with the ideas you mention. Ads are one way but it’s the marketing piece of it to get sales that’s the challenge .

I see most t-shirt shops on Etsy price their t-shirts at $21 including shipping… Now at a $21 price point including shipping, May I know how much profit per t-shirt this seller would be making approximately? If I use a POD partner like printify, May I know how should I price my t-shirt so that I get a $5 net profit per t-shirt sold?

Hi! I'm about to launch a shop for items for Showers and birthdays. From what I've researched, most clip art items have copywright. With a commercial license it seems only the one who bought the clipart can use and edit the images. So are all of these Editable Templates actually illegal? Or is it just a case by case basis? Thank you!
Great question! You can use the free content in Canva within templates, no problem. When talking about elements that you license from an outside website, you’ll need to read the terms of the specific commercial license you purchased with it. It’s true that many of them don’t allow for use in editable templates but some might so it’s a case by case basis depending on the license. I recommend just using the free Canva content/elements!

I was going to customize templates for customers once they entered in their name and date, etc. Is this a service of the past and not competitive with all the self edit templates out there? I've purchased a lot of clip art from creative market in an attempt to stand out. But terrified of copyright issues. I guess I can try out both methods and see what is working. 👍🏻

I mean I am looking to sell patterns on mine. I want to price them individually. But alli see is bulk patterns listings. Hard to compete. I actually want to price them as art. Because they are.
Pricing can definitely be tricky! It’s a great idea to look at what competitors are doing to get an idea of the general price range in your niche 👍🏼
Can I use the pro elements for printables if I have Canva pro?
If your customer is purchasing a completed file, like a PDF or PNG, to print and not edit in Canva, then it should be fine to use Pro elements. As always, be sure to read Canva’s licensing agreement

I don't know how you do it. But I am stuck with the 3rd step of My store account. Either I am stupid or I am doing everything quickly. And with Canva do we have to pay in order to make a good template??? !!! Can somebody help me out here ??? Thank you.

I made/downloaded a patron, I tried uploading it to the photos but it always had an orange exclamation ‼️ mark. And then it needs more details. Who made it, what is the material like etc how much is the cost, shipping instructions (I thought that ETSY is responsible for that). Awaiting your kind reply. Thank you.
Are all items on this list sold through a single etsy shop?
In other words, can we encounter an unpleasant situation such as the closure of the store because there are different concepts?
Etsy won’t close a shop due to there being multiple types of products- you can sell as many different things as you’d like within one shop (as long as they follow Etsy’s guidelines for allowed products). Though I will say I’m a big fan of niching down and only choosing to sell products that are related in some way to position yourself as more of an expert :)
Hello. But what if the Canva template is made with the pro version but the client doesn’t have a pro plan ? He will not have access to the whole content right ?
If pro elements are used and the customer only has the free plan, he’ll have to pay to remove the watermarks from the elements before downloading.

If I want to sell a set of 3 prints in different sizes that the customer can get printed via Printify, do I need to put each picture in every size variation onto Printify?
What I don't fully understand is why people would pay for something they can get for free on canva. 90% of these templates your mentioning on here are all things people can easily get for free on canva already. do they truly sell?
Yes they do truly sell! Some people do just use free Canva templates, but the people purchasing off of Etsy are usually wanting something more unique or professional that will stand out vs using a template so easily accessible.
