How to bypass Audi or VW soft rev limiter

- First of all this might be risky. To follow this procedure you do so at own risk. I didn't experience any problems so far and I'm also not going to try and see what will happen if you put the vehicle in reverse by mistake while revs are high.
I'm demonstrating this in my 2014 Audi SQ5 3.0 V6 TDi
The gear lever must just disengage from the park position, so it's still far before it reaches the reverse engage position. You will see on the dash as you just disengage from park it will quickly show "R" for reverse, but because you don't physically put it in reverse the "R" will disappear and it will not show any indication of which gear it is in.
By holding the gear lever firmly in that position, the vehicle can then rev up past the soft rev limiter.
Sounds just like it should sound... a powerful beast.
Tried this and can confirm it works on my 2020 Audi RS5, but I somehow ended up in my kitchen. Would not recommend!

tried it on audi TT 2.0 Tfsi and it works! Seems safe cus it’s just like it was in N, don’t wanna play with it too much though.

I had this same problem you have to change out the inter cooler hose it has box diverted box you have to remove it and cap it with a plug trust me on this you will be able to rev as high as you want it the box doesn’t allow it to get all the air to the engine that causes it to rev low less air less power

Bro, thanks for this, i have a stage 2 ecu tune, but not TCU so i have the soft rev limit, like you say, be carefull and its risky. Not something i will do alot, but there are times when neccesary :-D thanks, this way no one can over rev my car xcept me
Drive around in sport mode reving each gear out or does only do it between gears like your showing
my A3 doesnt have a soft limiter in dynamic mode somehow
if you bought your car used previous owner may have known how to work on cars and removed it

It does work but you can only do it a little because it will wear the engine if you do it too much😢

Risking it to much there buddy...accelerate just enough to get car roling 2-3 kmh put lever in neutral while rolling (talking about automatic) and there is no limiter..you can rev it to the moon
just turn traction control off if you just want to rev the full 6,000 💀

No, it's got 2 exhaust flaps that opens when you select sport mode that change the exhaust sound

Yip, but it is possible to rev it. I'm not doing it though. It's just for the people that are willing to take the risk to rev it completely out.

@KimoKimochii if the Coupe version aka s5 has diesel, it would be stupid for the suv to be petrol. Bigger viechles are usually diesel

It's called a power wheelie, not a clutch in... high rev... and drop clutch. Believe me the bike is made to handle torque.

If your're doing it often, then yes you will damage any car redlining it, but this video is just showing how it is done.

It might switch to reverse accidently and you might broke your gearbox as well as horrible accident might have.

It does nothing by turning the traction control off. It still have the soft limiter.
