I remember curry is one of the first meals I made for my daughter when she was little and started eating with us. And she loves it still. We always buy from S&B because that one doesn;t have cheese in it so my mom can eat it as well. Usually I buy the roux and make it on the stove but sometimes I have the ready-to-eat pokemon curry for my daughter.

All the curries look yummy and comforting--I'd probably like them all. These nostalgic videos are some of my favorites. The retro packaging always makes me smile, as do your memories of the foods. I especially love the food history that you include. There is nothing nicer after a stressful day than watching you, Shinichi and Satoshi, share food, memories, and laughs. Love you both. 💜💜

The stores here have mostly S&B, House and Vermont curry. When I was a kid, we had Bon Curry. I would want to try the Dinner curry since I like stew. My mom used to light coat the meat with a little flour, black pepper and very little curry powder when she made stew. The Korean market has the Ottogi brand it's pretty good too. It's a little pricey now but cheaper than eating out. You guys got me hungry for curry.

Fun video. I never really appreciated Japanese curry growing up, but now that I'm older I am obsessed with making the ideal Japanese curry. Doing a taste test is a great idea. This will help me dial in the distinct flavors of the classic. Always enjoy your channel.

Glad you decided to review old fashioned curry. The first time I tried Japanese curry, I found it a bit strange but now I love it and it's one of my go-to comfort food items :D Did you use the special curry spoons Satoshi bought from Daiso? I remember your episode about unusual curries (strawberry, wasabi, etc) and I'd like to try the wasabi curry :D This is so random but Satoshi's head is so nicely shaped :D

I love curry so I really enjoyed both of you sampling these four packaged currys. Glico, which made a couple of currys you sampled here, also makes Pokey.

My son fell in love with S&B Golden Curry after he was given some from a friend. We managed to source it from a couple places, but he was thrilled when our local Walmart started offering it (medium spicy level). He bought SO many boxes! It's nice because he's honing his cooking skills too. 😛❣

Oh wow, I have always loved curry, my dad made a chicken curry that was so amazing, and I love making the Japanese curry, but what I love is this curry comes already made up in those packets, my curry is made from scratch with the curry spices I buy in the Japanese section of my supermarkets, the S&B Golden curry and some that I have bought at an Oriental market, called the Vermont curry, this one has an apple spice flavor. I wish that I could find these local but when I go to the Oriental market I will have to see if they carry them or at least one or two of them. I'm not sure which one could be my favorite because I love curry and they all looked so delicious. Thanks so much Shinichi and Satoshi, this was a really fun video to watch, once again these make me hungry because they look so tasty. Have a great rest of your week, sending love and hugs, bye for now. 😂🥰🤗😝💜💜💜

Guys, thanks for another nice food review. The first curry you tried, the one with the lady on the package is sold at my local 7-11 store. So everytime I walk into that store, I see her curry!! The first time I tried curry was when my wife made it for me way back in 1988. She makes it about once a month and we like it. Take care guys!

I have a local Asian market that I go to occasionally and I found a really good curry there but I usually get either medium or mild because I can't handle the spice either. But I haven't been to that market in a long time so I'm going to have to go there because you got me wanting Curry again LOL.

Have only tried the Bon Kare one out of all these. Bought it during my trip because the packaging looked so vintage. Ready to eat curry is so convenient, just heat it in the microwave with some rice and that's it.

I love Japanese curry. For homemade, my go to was S&B Golden Curry (Hot), but more recently started using House Foods Kokumaru (Hot) and think I might like it very slightly more. I also recently tried S&B Tasty Curry (Hot), which seems like the Golden Curry, but slight seasoning change (almost like a pinch of cinnamon or some other ‘warming’ spice).
