Such a beautiful story, Granny Pat! I know Harriet would have loved everything you just said about her and the sharing of her book. Harriet sounds like a remarkable woman!! It is fascinating that the house with the fabrics etc that you love so much ended up to be the house that Harriet had grown up in! You and Harriet paths were meant to cross. You, Granny Pat are brilliant also as well as a incredible storyteller! I love your blouse and you always look beautiful! Thank you for sharing your many talents with us! You bring peace, serenity, smiles and knowledge to this world. ❤🌹👑

I loved today's story, Pat! You have led an interesting life...that's for sure. When you talked about the fabric of your valances and then transitioned into your friendship with Harriett, and came back around to the house she lived in, and the place you shopped. Gosh, that's really good story-telling. I keep thinking the word "kismet" might define your friendship with Harriett. Some things are simply meant to be.

This is truly an amazing story about your friend, Harriet! My favorite uncle went to college at The U. of KY, where he met his future wife, a Jewish girl. They were married after a couple years and then discovered they had almost nothing in common! He’d grown up in the country and she was from the city. However, determined to make it work, they had two darling children and were so proud of them! My uncle was an English teacher and also an accomplished writer that I adored. His wife was a librarian who chose not to work. They are both gone now and both are missed.

It sure is a small world! Im going to order this book. I just picked up the Diary of Anne Frank today from the lending library, to read for the umpteenth time. I thought it was time, again.
Beautiful curtains! I had an interior design business with a workroom where we made draperies and did upholstery. I sold rolls of fabric, trims, binds, etc etc. in St Marys, Ga. When I closed it after 15 years I took up quilting, needlepoint, rug hooking, knitting, etc etc. I love anything textile related!
    I so enjoy your videos!

I don’t do much decorating any king either! In fact, I’ve been downsizing for over 11 years now. It’s a constant attempt. It seems we spend the first half of our lives accumulating, and the second half purging and rehoming. Well, at least, that’s how it’s been for me. It’s all part of this journey I’ve been on, since loosing my husband and moving, etc. I sent you two emails. 🥰

I have two granddaughters learning about the Jewish religion. I am so grateful for all the traditions and culture they are learning about through my son-in-law's family. The three major religions in the world share the same God we all know from the Old Testament. I pray we all find peace and brotherly love in this beautiful Godly world. ❤🐝fromCO

What a beautiful coincidence and connection you had with Harriet! This was a lovely story, Granny Pat..😉. Thank you for sharing.
    P. S. I can sympathize about the make up and having difficulty knowing what it’s for. Four years ago I invested in a whole new set of makeup. I am still using some of it, but there are 2 tubes that I always get mixed up with. One is a primer for eyelids and the other is an under eye concealer. You would never be able to figure out which is for what because nowhere on the tube does it state anything about eyelids or under eye concealer. I guess they figure we can remember which one to use, which is a lot of assumption in their part!
    ❤-Brenda

🎂🌸I know it’s a few days early but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
And congratulations on hitting 34k subscribers too! 👏😃I think people are hearing and liking your stories G Pat🌷and your decorating tips and your cooking episodes.
I so agree about pregnant ladies needing to return to a classier dress style and stop wearing tight spandex revealing garments. No one wants to see that. Modesty is becoming to any lady and a sign of self respect. I wish it would return.
What a great story about Harriet and her home. But you know what G Pat? Your stories are just as good and I would venture to say many more are better. Why? Because they carry a feeling of goodness, kindness, strength, gentler simpler days that take us back with you in the telling of them. Right now in these days we need to remember that not long ago people valued integrity, honesty, moral character, hard work, family, being a good citizen, appreciating the small things, loving Jesus Christ and each other. We get to travel back with you and in some small way experience what you did in our imaginations. You may think they’re just little stories that aren’t that interesting at times but that couldn’t be further from the truth. And 34 thousand other people would agree with me. 😊
Those homes like Harriet had have such warmth and beauty Not like today’s cookie cutter bland shoe box homes that have no rich wooden built ins or unique floor plans that feel cozy. No personality.
Not far from the town of Shelbyville IL, is a tiny town that has a home fabric shop. Some of the most unique fabrics are found in such places and I enjoy browsing through them. I like to quilt and see, I’ve only made one quilt so far. And I do like the rose print fabrics. Reminds me of England for some reason. Thank you for another lovely story...
Have a blessed birthday G Pat- I know you will!
    🌷🕊🌿🎂🎉🎈🎁Cheri from IL

I'm knocking on the door of 60 and still won't wear a shirt that shows my bra strap. Nowadays they show off their underwear! It's UNDERWEAR! Please use common sense and what "under" means😂 Do we need to wonder why there is so much corruption for children? Parents, control what your children wear! Sometimes G Pat, it’s a strange world. I went to a wedding last August one of our very good friends son got married, and there was a woman there from Brazil who is a friend of our friends and NEIGHBOR. I had met her at a go to meet the brides family about a month before And we sat and talked for hours. I found her as she did. She is 30 years younger than I but we had an immediate connection at the wedding when we first saw one another immediately, hugging, laughing and smiling. We have had a couple breakfast together with our friends son that got married is so amazing and beautiful a real sweet person that I felt connected to. I know how you feel when somebody comes into your life and there’s no rhyme reason it just is a connection. The stories in her book must be jaw-dropping if they include the holocaust. I had Jewish friends and many Catholic friends and never even thought about the religion. Just had a lot of fun! I agree with the makeup the writing is so small on everything anymore even with a magnifying glass can’t read the instructions. Your make up looks lovely. Whatever you used perfecto ! God bless Nancy, Indiana.

@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 Me too! My mom & I were very close like you because I too was born later and I had all brothers. I treasure every memory with her. She passed at 67 years You were blessed to have your mother so long. I know you cherish your time with Jan and your granddaughter That’s all that matters as we age our family🤗♥️

Message #4: I spotted a pop-up message from you, then lost it. However, I just received a beautiful bouquet of birthday flowers from Carole Lynn Florist, one block down the street from me.
Thank you so much. I wish I could show them here.
It was a pleasure meeting you at the reunion. You can’t imagine how much your kind words meant to me. After all, it isn’t every day that an ‘88’ year old lady finally finds her niche, and with so much support from the public. Jan’s friends have become my friends now. (Most of mine are already Gone).
Thank you for following me on utube. I am having fun! Please keep in touch. The flowers are lovely.🌹🌹
