This is awesome seeing B5's still used today.
Currently building a ~600HP A4 B5 1.8t (2008cc stroker), 350HP 1.8t German Fox in the states, along with an ALMS 1.8t Audi TT.
Sounds crazy. It’s an old car and bit of a pain in the arse, but I’ll likely replace the wastegate on my own B5 and take my 28psi on the streets again.
Stage 1 tune, I’d say? Maybe a manual boost controller, but wouldn’t able to say where you could get this. I still have to hook up a launch control system.
@swaggod legend if it doesnt already have a tune then yeah easy. Stage 1+ tune will get you good gains, stock is dissapointing
swaggod legend motoza has good tunes for the b6. Used to have a b6 and miss it daily, my gti just isn’t the same!

I'd love to know the exact setup data on this, how they made it handle on these tight corners, what dampers they used, how much the diffs lock etc.
Brilliant driving ! The timing to push gas around the corners and make the tires give away just enough to remind the driver this is a beast , but also not to much like losing grip totally it was like dancing !!!! Like a tango , not to fast so you can enjoy each figure , not to slow so you are constantly captivated ! Loved it !

Tare misto filmarea, pot spune ca a fost cu "detoate"; filmare din "culise", cu plecarea de la start, cu onboard, etc. Despre pilot, jos palaria, este pe stilul "drive it like you stole it" :)) Sper sa fiu prezent la startul week-end-ului viitor, la Brasov, ca sa te vad live cu noua masina. Iti doresc un sezon fara incidente si realizarea tuturor obiectivelor propuse, ciao!

Amazing Car and amazing driving Alex! inspires me to develop my B5 1.8T. How have you got rid of the under steer the B5 Quattro normally has? Have you changed diffs? Im really struggling to remove under steer from mine and would love to be able to get the turn in you are achieving and the over steer whilst still have the grip and drive from the Quattro!
Hi man an thanks! I'm still struggling with understeer and oversteer also :)). I;m using SQS rear LSD + SQS gearbox with front lsd. Increase your grip and you are done with 50% of understeer effect.
What wastegate & BOV/DV are you running? I love the chirping noises it makes! Is sounds very similar to the 90 GTO IMSA one!
Is that running the stock gearbox first and second are always crabby in the passat haha . either u wait for them or grab them lol can u heal toe in the a4 i wanted to learn to fo that proably not nessary for a driving car lol oh i see the pedals are matched he is heal toeing

Yes it is, you can clearly see him shifting in an H pattern with a clutch at 3:50. It looks to be a regular manual transmission with a 2 step limiter to assist in shifting.

Doug Anderson Jt is likely still using the factory iron engine block and aluminum cylinder head. Everything inside has of course likely been changed, but it is still a 1.8t.
probably a big turbo from a truck 😂 a intercooler from a truck 😂 new pistons new injectors and a good ecu or map and love

I see you got often some oversteer problems, why dont you put some more downforce on the back axle? Or are there regulations?
+MrGom85 the main problem it's about wheels alignment. Because of the OEM bushes and suspension links, the rear toe is always changing ...

coilovers and sway bars usually stop a lot of understeer. Oversteer probably came from wet roads and a lot of power. Tire width and compound would also change how the car handles
In my stock b5 on dirt and if I'm pushing it too hard on tarmac I'll get both over and understeer depending on my throttle, steering input, breaking, and overall how I've taken the corner. But generally if you're on the gas you're getting understeer and if you're off you're getting oversteer. BUT If I initiate oversteer then get on the gas and dont have enough grip I can maintain the drift (usually on dirt).
A rear limited slip helps alot
