@@KrausesCars I like your idea my man. I actually found a used block that is exactly like mine 058 (early version of the 1.8t, drive by cable) do you think these blocks still require the girdle even though they are tougher material than later 1.8t 06A blocks?
@@JorgeSanchez-xz3tp yes if you want a 500awhp+ car you need a girdle so your block doesn’t crack or warp. Would recommend doing a dual keyway with harmonic balancer and switch to the aeb head. Get arp bolts for everything and south bend stage 4 should be gravy especially if you can get a dual mass setup it’s a little 💰💰 but definitely worth it. Delete sai, evap all that b.s. You’ll easily make 1200whp with that setup might blow the trans axels and everything else to high hell

If you want a more sturdy bottom you can putt a 1.9 tdi crank in a 1.8 i believe, and it will also give it more displacement too. All the 4 cylinders are very similar Buildt. He said that they drive until their axles goes flying in every direction 😂

No you need to stick to the 1.8t and just do a support griddle with rods and pistons
