What I hate is that so many characters on the rosters of spin-off Mario titles are filled to the brim with basic enemy mooks, babies, & power up skins. Meanwhile various characters from Wario Land/Warioware, Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi’s Island, & Luigi’s Mansion continually get omitted
Yeah, I wonder why (probably because Nintendo plays things safe, and even then, they have a funny idea of doing so by refusing to bring characters with actual potential to be the best like the Ukikis (even The Chimp in Super Mario Galaxy 2), Tatanga, Goombos (also from the Super Mario/Wario Land series as well as) Captain Syrup (who was likeable when she lasted), the Axem Rangers, the partners of the same game (Mallow and Geno in Super Mario RPG), the Paper Mario (original and Thousand Year Door) partners, Wart (even with the facts that he was vegetable-poisoned and, as the former ruler of Subcon, subconscious), the Mario Golf/Mario Tennis exclusives and yes, even the Koopa Kids) the light of day like the Mario movie has recently done with the Kongs).
Exactly! I always wondered why Baby Mario or Tanooki Mario couldn't be swappable skins for Mario like Yoshi and Shy Guy's colors, instead of hogging the roster at the expense of more original and likable characters.

She could also function as the walu-Peach. They really should’ve reintroduced her to seaside kingdom in Mario Odyssey with a pirate ship in the bay, it would’ve been perfect. Plus, her design is cool. Who doesn’t love a good pirate?

Nathaniel bandy has a very entertaining channel and I'm not really sure why but for some reason his videos have not been recommended to me like at all for the past year basically. I used to watch his stuff all the time but I guess I just hadn't been as into it last time I watched. But I just got to point out he's not perfect. He's made pretty noticeable mistakes in several of this videos. The one mistake that just really annoyed the hell out of me was his insistence on calling baby Bowser in Mario and Luigi partners in Time, Bowser Jr. That isn't Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr is Bowser's son. The Mario Bros go back in time and meet their baby cells and work together with them and they encounter baby Bowser because they went back in time and it just so happens to be there's a boss battle where you're going against both Bowser and baby Bowser because Bowser went back in time as well So obviously it's baby Bowser you're going against there but Nathaniel bandy repeatedly called them Bowser Jr even though they are not the same. I'm not going to go on about the other mistakes he's made but that's the big one that really just annoyed the hell out of me

I think his fate was that the Mario Bros. decided to drive him to suicide for always beating him up just for breathing. And thus… the arch-rivalry between the Mario Bros. was born!
I like Mini Bowser/Koopa Kid. I feel his give Mario Party his charm and whilst his personality is flat, I do appreciate how excited and daring he gets without being too demented like Iggy.
I often felt like Koopa Kid was the actual threat in the Mario Party Games. Like he organizes Bowser's plans and often take them to action, while Bowser is more the representative.
It’s just sad that society never wanted the Koopa Kids (and other forgotten Mario characters from Tatanga to Ukikis to Angry Sun to King Wart and other Super Mario 2 bosses) back after Mario Party 7 even though they never overstayed their welcome (if anything, they were only in 8 games, and all of them were Mario Party games! Shame on the general public for doing the Koopa Kids dirty! How would they like it if other people did that to them?! The Koopa Kids are so underrated! They deserve more screen time!)
To be fair, there are probably complications over using him since Hudson Soft technically created the character. Yes, Woody reappears in Super Mario Party, but given he is more an object I believe it’s different. It’s the same reason characters like Geno and Wanda never show up anymore. Tatanga has no excuse as far as I’m aware.
Tatanga was actually working for Wario in both SML games. In the first game he was able to cause enough problems that Mario had to leave for Daisy's Kingdom. By doing so Wario could take over Mario Land and its inhabitants. This explains his role in both games. By getting Mario to vacate the area he occupied Wario could take over his castle without much issue.
The piantas aren't that bad outside of Sunshine, there fun in the other games they appear in. Especially Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, very memorable characters
ironically, 1upBinge accuses the piantas of corruption and in PM2 they are the Mafia. So, maybe it was intented by Nintendo to make them sort of corrupt?
What 1Up Binge himself said (enjoyable characters on their own, but too much like the Koopalings (whom, to be fair, before the 2010s started just after the release of their return with New Super Mario Bros. Wii which started the post-Renaissance of Mario aka the 1990s - 2000s) rather than their own characters and therefore LITERALLY Nintendo’s answer to the Deadly Six in Sonic Lost World… which contrary to popular opinion and partially because of these guys, I couldn’t care a lot less about).
Also I feel there are generally too many liked characters on this list. For example The Mii's. They are actually decently liked in the Mario Kart/Sport games.
It strange that we see Mario's brother, alter ego, and even cousin, but never Mario's parents, at least not their faces. The Super Mario Brothers Movie has finally made this a reality! (May 6, 2023 update)
I think Mario fans have something against rabbits for some reason. Most likely because of Mips from SM64 is to blame for this generational rabbit hatred that eventually affects Nabbit and the Broodals.
Totally disagree with the Mii's.... I loved making mine and throwing my character into the game. (Except when I play Wii fit and any weight I gain shows on my Mii.. that's always an ouch)

About Koopa Kid: I remember here in Germany, he was called "Mini Bowser" and apparently it's just a miniature clone of Bowser, which is why there's also a bunch of them, even with different colors. Can't remember where I got that information tho.
Tatanga did have a reason to kidnap Daisy, he was hired by Wario to do it. That way, Wario could take over Mario’s castle while he was away in Sarasaland.
For me, Pink Gold Peach looks like she belongs in New Super Mario Bros 2. It looks like that Peach got the Golden Flower power up and just taken up space in Mario Kart, how disappointing.

I think Deep Cut are pretty much the most neutral characters. All they pretty much do are attempting to steal some treasure (spoiler alert: Rocket parts) and are pretty much fair with their battles including beyblade girl, sharpedo rider, and Phantamanta.
I appreciate a more opinionated list like this. I don't approve of every pick of course, Koopa Kid's uglier design is more enjoyable than Bowser Jr's and looks more like how one would expect Bowser to look as a baby. As far as the Broodals, the Koopalings aren't exactly something sacred to rip off and have had very low lows without particularly high highs.
As much as I like (but don’t treat like gods because they aren’t the most memorable Mario characters up toy he ranks of the Mario Bros., Wario, Donkey Kong and his people, Yoshis, Princess Peach (when she’s active, that is) and Rosalina) Kootie Pie Koopa should have made this list because of her one-dimensional “WAAH!!!!! DADDYKINS!!!!! I AM A SPOILED MEAN GIRL WHO SEES PRINCESS PEACH AS A RIVAL AND AM A LITERAL POOR MAN’S VERSION OF WENDY O. KOOPA!!!!! WAAH!!!!!!!” personality that ruined The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 (even by Mario cartoon standards. t least Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Super Mario World have a late 20th Century Super Mario charm to it. I guess every now and then, TAoSMB3 has moments like that because of its nostalgia factor and it did inspire the first UA-cam Poop in the mid-2000s, otherwise, it’s best to just stick with the game and only one of its hacks, Super Mario Bros. 3Mix for actually having custom music unlike the rest) alongside a cast of other one-dimensional characters like the Mario Bros. (in this version), Toad, Princess Toadstool (not to mention this is the only one of the three DIC cartoons where she has scenes that called for her being in a bathing suit because she was about to go swimming… or surfing like in Reign Storm), Bowser himself and the rest of the Koopalings (or in this case, Koopa Kids, not to be confused with the ones in the 2000s Mario Party games when they were even a thing. Unsubstantial… to many people if not me, at least? Yes. But amusing on their own with their hilariously stout designs that make them look like Mini Bowsers with beady black eyes? Yes, actually!).
Mario Kart 7 also had Metal Mario as a playable racer in place of Waluigi. I don't know if Metal Mario and Shadow Mario are the same thing, though, but Metal Mario I didn't exactly find relevant in the Super Mario universe.

Thank you for throwing Baby Daisy & Rosalina under their much deserved lazy bus. When I downloaded Mario Kart Tour, the initial character that I started with was Peach, which was OK. Once I received enough in-game currency to unlock a second character, I got Baby Rosalina and immediately deleted the app.
The only time Baby Princesses could have served a purpose is if they were in backstories like Baby Peach (a sexist purpose where like her adult self, she has to wait for her men to do everything for her, but still a purpose nonetheless) in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (very fun game like other Mario RPG before the 2010s, btw) and Yoshi’s Island DS (not my favourite Yoshi game like the original or Tetris Attack or both, but still a bit more tolerable than Yoshi’s New Island)… and then after that, even Baby Peach threw herself under the lazy bus alongside Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina in Mario Kart games after DS, and partly because of that, Mario Kart just hasn’t been the same as it was in… the mid-2000s (which I also don’t love, but do at least enjoy for having their own identities).
Rosalina was like 8 when she met The Lumas and lived out in space, and soon became their mother. Why do we need to race As a Baby Version of her, when She Has babies of her own?!
I’m definitely agreeing with a lot of these choices. I’m especially not a fan of the filler character variants. Such a waste of space and missed opportunity to add other lesser known characters. I mean, can we finally have captain syrup back again?

kinda took it in wrecking crew mario was outperforming foreman spike that he tried to get rid of him and get back his fame(maybe the mario movie could do something like that.). hey i love the humans in mario golf/tennis and like them giving uniqueness to the humans outside plumbers/princesses that the recent ones should've used instead of generic enemies. didn't mind baby daisy(don't miss baby wario with how more annoying than baby mario his crying was.) or rosalina but do think they should've been made alternates instead of taking slots. honestly liked stanley being someone donkey kong fought after sending mario running in jr./funny reason for cranky being mad(guy did have his bum shot by pesticide shoving his head into beehives in that game.) would actually like to see tatanga come back(like he joined up with wario distracting mario taking princess daisy so wario would take over mario's castle.)/daisy reference it being miffed at wario for it. the pianatas were jerks and had their trouble deserved with how mario has the ruler of a kingdom(who has tons of toad subjects as witnesses.) on his side/saw shadow mario yet gave mario trouble for no reason at all. i enjoyed the broodals way more than the koopalings(they're lame and bowser jr. has more interactions with bowser than them as they're honestly overrated with how bare their character is outside rpg's being just boom boom again.) as their boss fights were fun and liked the mafia feel they had also referencing the moon rabbits/kaguya a bit. like gold mario in new 2(the only good thing in that game) but hated pink gold peach as they really need to drop the random power up's wasting the roster when there's the warioware gang(along with captain syrup.),luigi's mansion(e. gadd who was going to be in ds,hellen gravely),donkey kong country & even other nintendo series(like fox,samus,pit,kirby or f-zero). that was weird the bee queen(at least like it wasn't lubba who was a pointless replacement for rosalina.) replaced waluigi. and actually thought nabbit was a rabbid at first & wished instead of him they used princess daisy with how she surprisingly didn't show up much at all in the year of luigi.
Y'know, Bowser's Brother appeared in the Super Mario All Stars version of SMB2J, and in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, initially as a Blue Bowser. Even if the character is very obscure, there isn't much about the character, as we don't have information about the character, and he is also referred to as a Fake Bowser in some instances. That could also mean that Nintendo has no clue on what the character actually is, and is therefore, a mystery, as we don't know what his real identity is. I personally feel he shouldn't have been so high up on the list, given his obscurity as a Mario character.
This is a stretch, but I think the Koopa Kids were prototypes for Bowser Jr. I mean, Bowser's wife has never been mentioned ONCE in the entire franchise, so Bowser Jr. has to be a clone at this point.

1/10. The only characters that make sense for this list is Gold Mario, Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, and Pink Gold Peach. The rest are really cool characters and absolutely don’t deserve getting hated and slandered and shouldn’t be on this list. Also you didn’t credit the creator behind the MIPS fan animation video. Call me _out of my mind,_ but there’s very few, if any, Mario characters that I genuinely dislike; they all have or have had their purposes throughout the series’ existence. The ones I “legitimately” dislike are those that are of no particular value to the franchise as a whole, whether it’d be due to technical limitations to just out of the goodness of Nintendo’s heart of pure Mushroom Kingdom gold. *That one, by the way, would be Nabbit.* He’s far from bad, just like all the rest of the Mario gang; he _is_ the petty thief of the game itself whom you pretty much constantly have to chase down for items and coins. But his overuse as a role model is what would land him just an inch closer to the bottom of the oil barrel, where you _just get stuck._ It’s also why I’ve, well, disliked the ‘vid. :( *I’ll only be listing a few highlights, since a wall of text is not favorable for comments.* • *First, the “absolute worst”: Pink/Rose Gold Peach.* At first blush, nothing about her makes her worthy of her existence, and certainly not as another heavyweight female character. However, consider that Nintendo _never_ risks developing a deep character that would only be seen in one game and that’s it. At its core, Pink Gold Peach was _designed_ to be “forgettable.” At the development level, it makes life that much easier for the devs. They can just let her be and still have a proper heavyweight female racer. Also, she has all the same good use as regular ol’ Gold Mario: She can transform anything destructible into coins, and can even produce her own coins on her own as she’s just out and about. Finally, she’s just rich figuratively. • *Second, Baby Daisy, Rosalina, and one day, Pauline.* O.K. If Nintendo really were wasting their time filling in character slots, these literal babies would’ve never been some of them. They’ve got their own perks on the field, and this was done so that fans could finally have infant versions of some of their fan favorites like those specifically. _And_ I’ve once seen Baby Pauline while surfing MFGG (Mario Fan Games Galaxy) one day. *_Baby Pauline Confirmed!_* lol. • *And finally, the lowly yet humble humans and Miis.* I’m putting ‘em together because they share similar traits to each other. _First - uh, hello?!_ Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy are _all_ human beings! So it makes _perfect_ sense to include “regular” humans!! Plus, certain fans like me have had deep connections with franchises like these, and so seeing these guys in the Mario-verse helps to immerse us more into the real world with the one which whom we are playing as certain characters. *Then you have the Miis.* Remember: these guys were designed specifically to be generic characters, and so they technically fit into _any_ franchise Nintendo so desires. Even with My Pokémon Ranch, an _absolute_ childhood ‘fave of mine, by the way, they fit right in with the general Pokémon feel. • *But, wait!! There’s an honorable mention, too, since she was never mentioned in **_any_** 1UPBinge video, or even others similar for **_that_** matter. I’m of course talking about Terrormisu (or under the alias Tiaramisu).* Sigh. First, she would be perfect as the “anti-Peach” (and thus Peach’s rival) of the Mario franchise, as Wario is to Mario: While Peach is sweet and caring, Princess Belch (whom I’ll be calling Terrormisu from now on) is rude and inconsiderate. Whereas Peach shows respect for the underdog, Belch spits all over him/her. I don't know what you consider relevant but one character to be in the main Mario series versus another that is only in sports spin-offs it's okay to have one from the main series be a playable character in a spin-off versus a spit off character never getting into any main series whatsoever so stop being mad at that queen bee we won't see her again the waluigi would never have a game nor will he be invited to a main game and people should be okay with that cuz that's what he deserves. The reason why in Super Mario All-Stars he's still green like bowsers because that actually is Bowser. It's not his brother. Kosmic Who knows way more about the classics Super Mario Bros and even the lost levels or the Japanese version of Mario 2 than most other people out there has in fact pointed out that the reason Bowser's color is different there is because of where you are located in the castle. He literally demonstrates that in a video. That shade of green does not show up in the castle until you get to the bridge where Bowser is. That's why even coopas have blue shells instead of green ones when you see them in the castle and he proved it by taking a koopa to the bridge with Bowser and the Koopa was green just like Bowser. Nathaniel bandy has a very entertaining channel and I'm not really sure why but for some reason his videos have not been recommended to me like at all for the past year basically. I used to watch his stuff all the time but I guess I just hadn't been as into it last time I watched. But I just got to point out he's not perfect. He's made pretty noticeable mistakes in several of this videos. The one mistake that just really annoyed the hell out of me was his insistence on calling baby Bowser in Mario and Luigi partners in Time, Bowser Jr. That isn't Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr is Bowser's son. The Mario Bros go back in time and meet their baby cells and work together with them and they encounter baby Bowser because they went back in time and it just so happens to be there's a boss battle where you're going against both Bowser and baby Bowser because Bowser went back in time as well So obviously it's baby Bowser you're going against there but Nathaniel bandy repeatedly called them Bowser Jr even though they are not the same. I'm not going to go on about the other mistakes he's made but that's the big one that really just annoyed the hell out of me

I often felt like Koopa Kid was the actual threat in the Mario Party Games. Like he organizes Bowser's plans and often take them to action, while Bowser is more the representative.
It’s just sad that society never wanted the Koopa Kids (and other forgotten Mario characters from Tatanga to Ukikis to Angry Sun to King Wart and other Super Mario 2 bosses) back after Mario Party 7 even though they never overstayed their welcome (if anything, they were only in 8 games, and all of them were Mario Party games! Shame on the general public for doing the Koopa Kids dirty! How would they like it if other people did that to them?! The Koopa Kids are so underrated! They deserve more screen time!)
To be fair, there are probably complications over using him since Hudson Soft technically created the character. Yes, Woody reappears in Super Mario Party, but given he is more an object I believe it’s different. It’s the same reason characters like Geno and Wanda never show up anymore. Tatanga has no excuse as far as I’m aware.
Tatanga was actually working for Wario in both SML games. In the first game he was able to cause enough problems that Mario had to leave for Daisy's Kingdom. By doing so Wario could take over Mario Land and its inhabitants. This explains his role in both games. By getting Mario to vacate the area he occupied Wario could take over his castle without much issue.

What 1Up Binge himself said (enjoyable characters on their own, but too much like the Koopalings (whom, to be fair, before the 2010s started just after the release of their return with New Super Mario Bros. Wii which started the post-Renaissance of Mario aka the 1990s - 2000s) rather than their own characters and therefore LITERALLY Nintendo’s answer to the Deadly Six in Sonic Lost World… which contrary to popular opinion and partially because of these guys, I couldn’t care a lot less about).
Also I feel there are generally too many liked characters on this list. For example The Mii's. They are actually decently liked in the Mario Kart/Sport games.

About Koopa Kid: I remember here in Germany, he was called "Mini Bowser" and apparently it's just a miniature clone of Bowser, which is why there's also a bunch of them, even with different colors. Can't remember where I got that information tho.
Tatanga did have a reason to kidnap Daisy, he was hired by Wario to do it. That way, Wario could take over Mario’s castle while he was away in Sarasaland.

I think Deep Cut are pretty much the most neutral characters. All they pretty much do are attempting to steal some treasure (spoiler alert: Rocket parts) and are pretty much fair with their battles including beyblade girl, sharpedo rider, and Phantamanta.

I appreciate a more opinionated list like this. I don't approve of every pick of course, Koopa Kid's uglier design is more enjoyable than Bowser Jr's and looks more like how one would expect Bowser to look as a baby. As far as the Broodals, the Koopalings aren't exactly something sacred to rip off and have had very low lows without particularly high highs.
As much as I like (but don’t treat like gods because they aren’t the most memorable Mario characters up toy he ranks of the Mario Bros., Wario, Donkey Kong and his people, Yoshis, Princess Peach (when she’s active, that is) and Rosalina) Kootie Pie Koopa should have made this list because of her one-dimensional “WAAH!!!!! DADDYKINS!!!!! I AM A SPOILED MEAN GIRL WHO SEES PRINCESS PEACH AS A RIVAL AND AM A LITERAL POOR MAN’S VERSION OF WENDY O. KOOPA!!!!! WAAH!!!!!!!” personality that ruined The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 (even by Mario cartoon standards. t least Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Super Mario World have a late 20th Century Super Mario charm to it. I guess every now and then, TAoSMB3 has moments like that because of its nostalgia factor and it did inspire the first UA-cam Poop in the mid-2000s, otherwise, it’s best to just stick with the game and only one of its hacks, Super Mario Bros. 3Mix for actually having custom music unlike the rest) alongside a cast of other one-dimensional characters like the Mario Bros. (in this version), Toad, Princess Toadstool (not to mention this is the only one of the three DIC cartoons where she has scenes that called for her being in a bathing suit because she was about to go swimming… or surfing like in Reign Storm), Bowser himself and the rest of the Koopalings (or in this case, Koopa Kids, not to be confused with the ones in the 2000s Mario Party games when they were even a thing. Unsubstantial… to many people if not me, at least? Yes. But amusing on their own with their hilariously stout designs that make them look like Mini Bowsers with beady black eyes? Yes, actually!).

Thank you for throwing Baby Daisy & Rosalina under their much deserved lazy bus. When I downloaded Mario Kart Tour, the initial character that I started with was Peach, which was OK. Once I received enough in-game currency to unlock a second character, I got Baby Rosalina and immediately deleted the app.
The only time Baby Princesses could have served a purpose is if they were in backstories like Baby Peach (a sexist purpose where like her adult self, she has to wait for her men to do everything for her, but still a purpose nonetheless) in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (very fun game like other Mario RPG before the 2010s, btw) and Yoshi’s Island DS (not my favourite Yoshi game like the original or Tetris Attack or both, but still a bit more tolerable than Yoshi’s New Island)… and then after that, even Baby Peach threw herself under the lazy bus alongside Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina in Mario Kart games
after DS, and partly because of that, Mario Kart just hasn’t been the same as it was in… the mid-2000s (which I also don’t love, but do at least enjoy for having their own identities).

hey i love the humans in mario golf/tennis and like them giving uniqueness to the humans outside plumbers/princesses that the recent ones should've used instead of generic enemies.
didn't mind baby daisy(don't miss baby wario with how more annoying than baby mario his crying was.) or rosalina but do think they should've been made alternates instead of taking slots.
honestly liked stanley being someone donkey kong fought after sending mario running in jr./funny reason for cranky being mad(guy did have his bum shot by pesticide shoving his head into beehives in that game.)
would actually like to see tatanga come back(like he joined up with wario distracting mario taking princess daisy so wario would take over mario's castle.)/daisy reference it being miffed at wario for it.
the pianatas were jerks and had their trouble deserved with how mario has the ruler of a kingdom(who has tons of toad subjects as witnesses.) on his side/saw shadow mario yet gave mario trouble for no reason at all.
i enjoyed the broodals way more than the koopalings(they're lame and bowser jr. has more interactions with bowser than them as they're honestly overrated with how bare their character is outside rpg's being just boom boom again.) as their boss fights were fun and liked the mafia feel they had also referencing the moon rabbits/kaguya a bit.
like gold mario in new 2(the only good thing in that game) but hated pink gold peach as they really need to drop the random power up's wasting the roster when there's the warioware gang(along with captain syrup.),luigi's mansion(e. gadd who was going to be in ds,hellen gravely),donkey kong country & even other nintendo series(like fox,samus,pit,kirby or f-zero).
that was weird the bee queen(at least like it wasn't lubba who was a pointless replacement for rosalina.) replaced waluigi.
and actually thought nabbit was a rabbid at first & wished instead of him they used princess daisy with how she surprisingly didn't show up much at all in the year of luigi.

One character for this: the horsehair plants on Super Mario Bros 1.
Y'know, Bowser's Brother appeared in the Super Mario All Stars version of SMB2J, and in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, initially as a Blue Bowser.
Even if the character is very obscure, there isn't much about the character, as we don't have information about the character, and he is also referred to as a Fake Bowser in some instances. That could also mean that Nintendo has no clue on what the character actually is, and is therefore, a mystery, as we don't know what his real identity is.
I personally feel he shouldn't have been so high up on the list, given his obscurity as a Mario character.

I mean, Bowser's wife has never been mentioned ONCE in the entire franchise, so Bowser Jr. has to be a clone at this point.

1/10. The only characters that make sense for this list is Gold Mario, Baby Daisy, Baby Rosalina, and Pink Gold Peach. The rest are really cool characters and absolutely don’t deserve getting hated and slandered and shouldn’t be on this list. Also you didn’t credit the creator behind the MIPS fan animation video. This video needs to be deleted like the “Nintendo has forgotten about Mario” video by Nin10doh land because I don’t want this stupid excuse of a video to spread on the internet!

Call me _out of my mind,_ but there’s very few, if any, Mario characters that I genuinely dislike; they all have or have had their purposes throughout the series’ existence. The ones I “legitimately” dislike are those that are of no particular value to the franchise as a whole, whether it’d be due to technical limitations to just out of the goodness of Nintendo’s heart of pure Mushroom Kingdom gold. *That one, by the way, would be Nabbit.* He’s far from bad, just like all the rest of the Mario gang; he _is_ the petty thief of the game itself whom you pretty much constantly have to chase down for items and coins. But his overuse as a role model is what would land him just an inch closer to the bottom of the oil barrel, where you _just get stuck._ It’s also why I’ve, well, disliked the ‘vid. :(
*I’ll only be listing a few highlights, since a wall of text is not favorable for comments.*
• *First, the “absolute worst”: Pink/Rose Gold Peach.* At first blush, nothing about her makes her worthy of her existence, and certainly not as another heavyweight female character. However, consider that Nintendo _never_ risks developing a deep character that would only be seen in one game and that’s it. At its core, Pink Gold Peach was _designed_ to be “forgettable.” At the development level, it makes life that much easier for the devs. They can just let her be and still have a proper heavyweight female racer. Also, she has all the same good use as regular ol’ Gold Mario: She can transform anything destructible into coins, and can even produce her own coins on her own as she’s just out and about. Finally, she’s just rich figuratively.
• *Second, Baby Daisy, Rosalina, and one day, Pauline.* O.K. If Nintendo really were wasting their time filling in character slots, these literal babies would’ve never been some of them. They’ve got their own perks on the field, and this was done so that fans could finally have infant versions of some of their fan favorites like those specifically.
_And_ I’ve once seen Baby Pauline while surfing MFGG (Mario Fan Games Galaxy) one day. *_Baby Pauline Confirmed!_* lol.
• *And finally, the lowly yet humble humans and Miis.* I’m putting ‘em together because they share similar traits to each other. _First - uh, hello?!_ Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy are _all_ human beings! So it makes _perfect_ sense to include “regular” humans!! Plus, certain fans like me have had deep connections with franchises like these, and so seeing these guys in the Mario-verse helps to immerse us more into the real world with the one which whom we are playing as certain characters. *Then you have the Miis.* Remember: these guys were designed specifically to be generic characters, and so they technically fit into _any_ franchise Nintendo so desires. Even with My Pokémon Ranch, an _absolute_ childhood ‘fave of mine, by the way, they fit right in with the general Pokémon feel.
• *But, wait!! There’s an honorable mention, too, since she was never mentioned in **_any_** 1UPBinge video, or even others similar for **_that_** matter. I’m of course talking about Terrormisu (or under the alias Tiaramisu).* Sigh. First, she would be perfect as the “anti-Peach” (and thus Peach’s rival) of the Mario franchise, as Wario is to Mario: While Peach is sweet and caring, Princess Belch (whom I’ll be calling Terrormisu from now on) is rude and inconsiderate. Whereas Peach shows respect for the underdog, Belch spits all over him/her. Finally, Peach wields white magic, but Belch favors black magic, just like Bowser and his Koopa Troop. *YIKES.* She _was_ originally another hell-spawn.
*In conclusion, great video, but of course I have to dislike it because I found a lot of flaws in the arguments of this video. **_Also Baby Bowser/Bowser Kid of Mario Party 64 fame was invented because limitations_*

17:46 That isn't Bowser's brother. People keep saying that it is Bowser's brother just because he's a different color but that's not why he's a different color. The reason why in Super Mario All-Stars he's still green like bowsers because that actually is Bowser. It's not his brother.
Kosmic Who knows way more about the classics Super Mario Bros and even the lost levels or the Japanese version of Mario 2 than most other people out there has in fact pointed out that the reason Bowser's color is different there is because of where you are located in the castle. He literally demonstrates that in a video. That shade of green does not show up in the castle until you get to the bridge where Bowser is. That's why even coopas have blue shells instead of green ones when you see them in the castle and he proved it by taking a koopa to the bridge with Bowser and the Koopa was green just like Bowser. He also showed that if you stand in the right area before getting on the bridge you could actually see Bowser at the bridge being blue until you move forward enough for the game to load the color change and he turns green. So the character of Bowser's brother doesn't actually exist. It's just an issue with the limitation of colors on the famicom disc system
