Also, no, Mario saving Peach from Bowser is clearly canon as it's referenced throughout the games multiple times, same for him stomping on Goombas, but things such as possesing random citizens in New Kong City isn't because it's never mentioned or referenced. It's not a part of the story, just a random thing the played can do if they want to. You don't have to posses citizens in the game to beat the levels- You sometimes need to posses the minions, but they're Bowser's minions who attack him, that's justified.

Ah yes. Mario has indeed grown into someone pure of heart, not letting anything threaten the princess or even the world. That’s a sure fire sign that one can be a villain, but later on turn out to be extraordinarily admirable.

12:48 I repeated this many times, Bowser's minions DO NOT DIE from Mario. That statement is an insult to Bowser as Bowser would never send his troops to fight Mario if they die from it, but its also contradicted by Minion Quest, Yoshi's island and other games.

Everyone in Mario is at least superhuman, A FREAKING TOAD survived being stepped by Giant Bowser in the opening cutscene of Mario Galaxy 2. Toads are the weakest creatures in the Mario world and they're still superhuman. So yeah. Also Mario never kicked a Koopa in a cutscene and it isn't required to do so in the game,you can do it, but there's no cutscene of him doing it or any requirement for it, so yeah.

No, they *_*both*_* are at fault, especially when the video game mechanics in _Super Mario World_ force the player to sacrifice Yoshi in order to get to one of the secret exits in one of the stages/levels. You could even argue there that Nintendo, *_itself,_* is also at fault there for making that stage/level in the way that it was made with that video game mechanic.

I’m not entirely sure you can count dropping Yoshi over a gap, as it’s actually the player doing that not Mario. Mario would probably never do that to his best friend so yeah. Just wanted to point that out and how it shouldn’t be in this video
I haven’t watched the video yet so I don’t know if this is brought up in it this is again a player choice but still if you make Yoshi put his touché out in Mario world the sprite has Mario punching Yoshi in it that’s messed up.
@@little_mr_divergantz1435 No, Mario is pointing. You can see a pixel that is Mario's finger pointing in the sprite. The people who made the game themselves said that the original intent was for Mario to punch yoshi, but they scrapped it and changed it to pointing at the last minute. So no, even in Mario World, he's pointing. Also seriously think about it for a minute WHY would Yoshi not just throw Mario off him if Mario is punching him? Yoshis aren't weaklings, in fact they're some of the strongest creatures in the Mario world. Why the heck would Yoshi just let Mario punch him lol?

@@def_not-luigi First of all he doesn't kill them, play minion quest, Captain Goomba confirms it in the first second of the game, or go play Yoshi's island where we see flattened Goombas walking around. Also that's an insult to Bowser- you think Bowser would send his minions to fight Mario if they die from it? Bowser is a lot of things,but he cares for his minions. Also they are anything BUT innocent. They try to kill Mario.

the events with Wario in the comics is similar to what we see in the flashbacks in Onegai My Melody with Kuromi. in her Kuromi Notes is written details of incidents that was either caused by or blamed on My Melody that happened to Kuromi leading her to criminal activity that led her to being sent to the dungeon. like Mario, My Melody was unaware of the fact that Kuromi wasn't having a happy time and though they are rivals in the show, My Melody sees her as a friend despite what's really going.
The most good deed does, indeed, make sense.

I say that Mario is a "Doctor", whether or not he has a license. I mean yeah sure, doctoring in the real world without a license is pretty unadmerable, but that's the thing... the Mario games don't take place in the real world (well some of them do) most of them take place in the Mushroom Kingdom. And the laws of physics are different in the Mushroom Kingdom so maybe the Mushroom Kingdom's governmental laws are different too, I mean the Mushroom Kingdom is a world where even Babies are allowed to drive Karts.

How do we know that it's Mario dropping Yoshi and simply not just Yoshi throwing Mario off and sacrificing himself to help Mario, albeit with out any programmed animation in the game of Yoshi's arm making a throwing motion when doing this?

Eh, some of the “bad” things were speculation or the player’s choice, so I wouldn’t count them.
You know, if Yoshi was to appear in the supposed sequel to the Super Mario Bros Movie, I am going to hope that Mario's treatment of him will be much better than how he treats Yoshi in the main series Mario Games. I mean, there is no way to defend Mario when he lets Yoshi die just to get an extra jump! Yoshi has saved Mario multiple times, and has even saved him and put up with his crying when Mario was a baby, and Mario still treats him like disposable canon fodder. I agree, Mario has a lot to repay Yoshi for!
Mario has nothing to repay Yoshi for. Mario "killing Yoshi for a jump" was never a requirement in the games, if you did that, then that's on you lol. Mario never dropped Yoshi off a cliff, also Yoshis are not gonna die from a stupid fall.
And no, he doesn't punch Yoshi, he points, as confirmed by the creators of Mario world themselves.

Read the whole manuel before you start typing. It is said later in that same manuel that Toads were turned into QUESTION BLOCKS and give Mario power-ups when he hits them.

The yoshi Delma. This is just a move players did it’s basically a speed run move it’s not meant to happen and it’s just something players used to complete the game it’s not a canon thing and it’s not something Mario has done it’s just a move used for speedrunners or to break the game also the example you give of a bonus level that requires yoshi to be sacrificed was one that could easily be done without sacrificing him so nice try

xavier102 He never killed any Toads. The manual for the original SMB game confirms that the Toads were turned into ? blocks (which provide you with a power-up but don’t break) and were turned back to normal at the end of the game. This doesn’t apply to any other subsequent games.

xavier102 They still provide you with a reward and the Mega Mushroom was introduced in the New Super Mario Bros games, so it doesn’t count for the original.

Saving the world is just casual Monday morning for Mario well okay now there's much as saving the princes but it's most of the time his job the only one that I can think of that saves the world more than Mario is probably Sonic but that's due to the fact that Eggman is constantly trying to turn everyone into a robot
Mario is NOT a bad brother, he doesn't overshadow his brother. The problem with his brotherly relationship is that he spents less time with his brother.
Also there's a theory that the Jumpman from Donkey Kong Jr is actually Mario's father and yes Nintendo did confirm that Mario and Jumpman are the same person but this theory is interesting because it gives us information about Mario's parents and makes Mario innocent.

I know a lot of people like to make levels that the strategize having to sacrifice Yoshi to jump further in Super Mario Maker 1 and 2, but I purposely designed the levels so that you don't actually require sacrificing you she at all. That therefore means that if somebody does sacrifice Yoshi they either screwed up their jump or they are truly immoral because it wasn't even necessary to complete the level😂

You clearly didn't read the whole Manuel. It is literally said later in the same Manuel that the Toads were turned into QUESTION BLOCKS and that they give Mario power-ups when he hits them to help him.
