Suggestion: put your house and Lyman’s next to each other like you originally planned but have them share the same yard. Instead of having each your own fencing, put fencing around the whole area and maybe in between your two houses have like a table and chairs, to have a place where you and Lyman can spend time together and have your morning coffee outside.
Also that little snowboy is so cute!

I live in AZ too. Mesa. Hasn't been this triple teen hot in a few years at least! I just moved all my villagers, the Museum and my campsite around. I did some of the villagers houses-Tia & Marina with a joint yard. Also gave them items and things that matched their hobbies, and personalities. Always love your AC & Chill videos! You should make a gated community for your house and Lyman’s house in the area where you want Lyman’s house to go

Put your house next to Lymens. I have my house in the neighborhood with my villagers next to Diana and Marina two of my favs.
You could make yours and Lyman a house like an old fashioned English estate with your house as the mansion and Lymans house as the gatehouse? Think downton abbey.

My mom just got back from Arizona and said it was like 117 degrees. I could never live there because I’m a mild weather person haha.
How would it look if you put a bridge in the middle stone part of the Lyman place, and perhaps had that as a barrier between yours and Lymans houses, with a path and only have the "outer" part of the living area fenced? I hope I make sense.
I love how you haven't done any terraforming. I wanted to do that but ended up with a minimal amount of terraforming just to get it more symetrical in a few places.
