I have had mine for over 12 months and works fine apart from tolerance of -1psi, through experience of using these devices for a number of years it is ESSENTIAL you smear some grease on the locking nut and tyre valve stem because if they are left on for a few months epeially during the winter without taking them off they can (and will) fuse to the tyre valve stem and you will have a hell of a job removing them..... Just for your info, but a great device which always remains charged, I have never had to manually charge the unit even in poor sunlight....

I have the same device. It reads consistently 2 psi high at all corners compared with two digital tire pressure gauges of different manufacture, but it's not exactly higher math to do the subtraction. Overall, a useful gauge.
Update: This may be peculiar to the one I have or generally applicable to the product: The LCD display does not appear to tolerate cold well. After an overnight of temperatures in the teens, the brightness of the display is now approximately 25% of its original brightness. About one week has passed and the LCDs are still at that dim output.

Being in SEAsia, these type of TPMS are cheap and it works... it may not last beyond 2 to 3 years in some cases but for USD 15-20 , replacing it every 1 or 2 yrs is still acceptable. My last unit lasted me 3 & half years.

Last week I got a flat tire and ended up driving a good 3 or 4 miles before I found out one of the year tires had gone flat - I was hearing a strange noise, but it seemed to be coming from the front tire, which I checked and it was ok.
I've been looking for a remote TPMS ever since and this one might do the trick. As an added bonus, it costs much less than the US$ 100 one I found.

The sensors are not always paired. Press right button for 3 bleeps press again for full pairing. Remove sensors so no air is leaking and start from pairing from fl/fr/br/ bl in that order
. After each sensor it screwed back in to gain tyre pressure the monitor will beep to state that it is paired

A lot of people ask "how do you pair these?" and i think it's screen 6,
you press the menu button (until the screen changes) and then (with the
right button) kinda cycle through the sensors and mine (after i came
back to the first setting of "00 --- 01" i held down the menu button
(for a few seconds) and boom, the sensors were working. And yeah the
TPMS solar (this version) is DEAD ON with the readings.

The weight of the senders can in time cause the valve stems to leak due to the weight of them, just like trick valve caps do, the skull/dice/pool ball ones etc., also galvanic corrosion between the lock nut and stem can make removing them impossible, so keep an eye on the valve stems for cracking and splitting also when you fit the lock nuts use some grease to stop water from entering, some kits have a rubber seal that fits over the lock nuts, fill it with grease before you fit it.

I bought one a while back. I got no instructions with it. It seemed to work. I shoved it under my wind screen and dash for a long time. It jabbered at me in Chinese when a tire was low. I finally figured a spot to put it and silicon glue it to the windshield. Now it seems to be stuck with one display. A tire was leaking air and it didn't tell me anything was getting low. I took the right rear sensor off and the display is the same with a reading on the sensor that is off. Where are the institutions? Can it be switched from Chinese? Why is the screen locked up and it is not telling me anything?

I don’t think it would be caused by this , maybe try checking the inside of the tire inflation valve some times the valve inside is loose or the rubber seal around will mess up

Wonderful review... I placed an order but my application is different. I am pulling a single axle travel trailer that obviously has two wheels. Can I just use 2/4 sensors or even better use two for the trailer and maybe the front two tires of the truck. I guess I'm asking if it can be used on two different vehicles at the same time. Any ideas? Thanks.

Should've used capacitor as the power storage.
Lithium battery will fail in the hot car, this is why they don't use them in car DVRs anymore

    • @walterworldtech2775
      @walterworldtech2775 5 років тому

I believe lithium battery was used in order to make it possible to run the main unit during the night. While capacitors are a better choice when it's hot, they won't hold a charge for more than a few seconds.
