My Uncle Buddy passed away yesterday from a long battle with Lung cancer. Ironically, the very moment he passed away, I was singing a song at a funeral of a dear friend who also passed away from Lung cancer. Just weird I guess. My Uncle Buddy joins my mama, Aunt Vanda, Uncle Randy and their parents, Bill & Geneva Godwin. I miss all of you terribly. I just felt compelled to record this real quick. Thank you, Lord, for your care of them. It's not goodbye, it's see you later!

Whoa, my dad passed a month ago and we played Jamie Johnson's version at his funeral. My dad was a country outlaw if there ever was one. He picked this song a few days before he died. I was missing him and found you. Dude, major props on that smooth B7. Plus, your soul came out on that song. A good song will make anyone shine, but you truly have a very distinct country voice. It's appreciated. I'm learning this song just watching. It's simple and elegant at once. Keep on rocking in the free world.
