- Looking for the best class in Diablo 4? There are five classes available at launch in Diablo 4, and let's make one thing clear: they all feel incredibly powerful. Diablo 4 is a demon-slaying power fantasy, after all, so no matter what class you pick, you’ll face no difficulties facing off against the hordes of hell. If you’re new to Diablo and are stressing about what class to pick, you can rest easy knowing that picking the class that looks the most fun to you is absolutely the right choice.
However, if you want to dive into the toughest endgame content, push to level 100 in Hardcore mode, rise up the ranks when leader boards eventually arrive in future seasons or are just wanting to know how each class is different to the others, then you’ve come to the right place.
In this video, we’ll tell you what the best class in Diablo 4 is, alongside a full ranked list covering the strengths and weaknesses of each class. Before we start, it’s worth bearing in mind that this information is based on the current launch build, so things may change with future updates to Diablo 4's class balancing.

My first Diablo game and I’m running with rogue. It’s been a bit of a challenge but I’m really enjoying the learning curve
Necromancer is not all about skeleton minions, I have a level 50 Necromancer so far and the Iron Golem is very very handy, not to mention some of the blood and bone and curse skills.

I've loved Diablo for so long. I used to watch my dad play diablo1 and Lod. I'm excited to play d4 just need to budget after the pups surgery so it's going to have to wait.

My first Diablo game is Diablo 4.I started as Barbarian just cause I always like brute force tank type characters in every game.
Once I got to level 15-20 I started to think that Barbarian is the most difficult class.
Btw I don’t watch on purpose any Barbarian or other classes builds cause it takes fun of figuring out on your own.
Now once I have started getting stronger armor and more skill sets,now I’m super happy and satisfied with my choice.
Spinning Barbarian is probably the most boring thing possible

@Euowol Right, I really wrecked it in D3 with the Barb! Got so boring. Necromancer was another easy one.
So powerful though
No matter what I did while leveling I couldn't squeeze out any viable damage from druid, but I effortlessly killed stuff after switching to flurry rogue.
Now the patch has came in who tops your list?
Playing sorceress now at level 47..crowd control is not so good. Feel like recharge time are way too long and often leaves almost dozen of seconds sometimes just waiting for the next rotation. But i take my time for now and still enjoy the game. I passed from a thunder theme build to an ice, way more efficient, but often have 12-15s when i can't do nothing much but to wait.
Still, when i watch some streamers way more into theorycraft than I, it's hard to have a good sorcerer build below parangons level and a full stuff dedicated for one single skill.
For me, it's the big minus of the game. Way less possibilities in build than D3, which leads everyone to play the exact same builds for now.
I hate how the Druid shapeshifting switches back and forth every time you attack.
In game You can find two unique armors, one can het You permament transform to warefold and another to bear :).
this is pretty much why I went with an elemental, lightning druid build
Highly subjective. Blood Necro is very powerful.
I'm trying to decide between Sorc and Druid. I love the versatility of Druid but Sorc looks very satisfying and more challenging to play.
Play what you think you'll have the most fun with.
Either way your gonna spend the next few weeks grinding it out druid or sorcerer regardless so digest the game in the best way possible for you. The sorcerer in your case seems like the best choice since you seem to enjoy it the most.
I'm biased in a large hairy way.... so Druid gets my vote lol
I'm first class is druid and so far I. Diggin it. Takes a bit to find a platstyle that u will like, but if ur wanting a full ranged class run a sorcerer. Druid can do ranged, but alot of the skills want u to be close. I'm running an envenom werewolf build and its holding up pretty good. It doesnt have the damage like a sorcerer thou not until u get a few good aspects and legendaries
Druid is a slow start but at high levels it is a tank that just survives. Good choice. Sorc starts much faster but isn't as good late game can be one shot pretty easy
I don't think you understand the potential of the necromancer. Kripparian launched a necro build and its a summoning build, it is a strong tanky dps but not as good as barbarian but i'd say beats the sorc. They are all pretty well fleshed bout characters once you min max the aspects, gear and skills.
I use the minion build I don't even really do anything lol it's so easy
Zero minion Necromancer is one of the most overpowered classes atm. I have zero difficulty soloing nightmare 10 atm.
I dont think the barbarian problem is the whirlwind but the shouts. WW barb is only good because of the shouts and you can see how every endgame barbarian build always use 2 or even 3 shouts (and this is so lame because then every barbarian only get to choose between other 3 skills)
Just don’t use the shouts why nerf if it’s the appeal of his kits are the shouts……..
Reason why I say WW is cause WW NEEDS the shouts for the regen sustain on resource the other 2 builds donot.
I’ve never played a diablo game before but I was drawn to the Druid but I wasn’t sure if it was good and chose the Barbarian, might just restart unless I begin to enjoy my build if I level up a bit.

I was a main barb in every single diablo game, but i assure you that druid is the most fun class and really strong. It has melee, magic abd shapeshifting. Its a good mix

It was always super obvious to me which class to play on any given RPG or similar game. Mana or most probably agility based class. Demon hunter on D3, I haven't started yet but I feel rogue ain't gonna cut it. All the other classes don't feel appealing. I'm really struggling to choose how to start (and no, I don't wanna try them all, I have less time to play than in my young years :))
I'm dealing with the same issue. Demon hunter was awesome to play and loved its playstyle. The classes in D4 seem to not center on any one thing enough that they all seem similar enough making them all seem boring.

@@KingNaki I'm about to buy the game and I still have no idea 🤣🤣🤣 rogue or sorc are my two first picks. I'm excluding barb as I don't like tank/melee classes, I don't like the Druid as a class, and necro is pretty much the same. I'm trying to make my choice backwards this time haha

I started a Barbarian yesterday and my wife started a Necromancer, but the Barbarian seems incredibly weak next to her character. Supposedly they've already nerfed the Barbarian, maybe that's why?
The Barbarian scale at the end game... Its weak at the start, where necromancer its way stronger
Barbarian will get stronger, but you won't see it until late level 30s. Don't give up!
I beat the game with Druid the switch do sorcerer I think sorcerer dose more damage then Druid but Druid have so much more fun ability’s but really like the serpent utimate on the sorcerer
Starting the game, the Druid is the WORST class. Don’t know why Blizzard can’t make the Druid do more damage at lower levels.
I used him during the server slam and he felt absolutely fine at least till the 20s (I didn't get past that)
The barb problem is having 4 weapons. Aresenal System made it /broken
Seriously why is there no witch doctor with my mana regen I love that character is anyone else finding this game terrible in all aspects.
Rogue is probably the most OP
I have never played the barb, in any diablo game, mostly because it looks so boring to just spam one skill. The druid seems a bit all over the place, so I'll probably end up with a rogue, again.
Same , i liked the shadow / trap/ claw assassin in D2
I picked necromancer in 3 might as well do it in 4 beat the game with it it was easy
did warrior, necro, sorcerer, rogue in past. Then one day I started D3 ROS with a Barb and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I couldn't believe how powerful it was. It was a ton of fun especially in early game.
I am not going to lie. I'm TEAM witch doctor. Necro was cool for a bit, but I just don't like it.
I'm a necro guy. :D I know it isn't a great farmer for late game. That is fine.

i like rogue a lot because its fast and strong plus really fast leveling system
but overal im just really good at using him because im better than most of the lvl 40 players while im only lvl 25
Sorry no rogue is braindead. You can do the trap build with stealth and solo nightmare dungeons without even taking damage
The sorcerer is definitely the worst in the endgame. He died so easily and it gets so boring to kite enemies over and over. I’m playing as a barbarian at level 53 now and he just got really good after getting two keys aspects. I clear mobs WAY faster and while taking hardly any damage.
Im sorry but your necromancer take is completely wrong its easily S tier behind barbarian when you center bone spear or blood
agreed im a necro and im crushing everything
No movement mechanics and 1 defensive CD means it's mid, even if it potentially has the highest DPS

Um your Necro reviews incorrect… 0 issues with Nightmare.. cleaning up dungeons… it’s items that count.. not class. So many ways to increase damage
My kripparian build summon Necro is busted!
Necro's are f'ed. Summons die almost immediately, and there aren't enough corpses to blow everything up. I'm thinking of starting a sorc.
I will pick Rogue.. I'm always choose the faster and Deadly but hardest character. That make me still awake xD.

Having a blast with rogue. Ofc it's not the strongest but you always have to keep on your focus on and it's freaking awesome. Never falling asleep while spinning lol

Barbarian is easy and boring
Nope... Sorcerer with a certain tree that is too hard to share in text ... can down any boss in about 30 seconds and hardly use a drop of mana

This video lost me from the very first sentence. For the vast majority of the campaign, my druid felt anything but "incredibly powerful". Level scaling makes him feel weak as water. He hits like a pillow unless you find specific gear or fully spec into one of the few meta builds. Maybe it's true of some classes, or if you play on easy, but I've rarely felt weaker in a videogame and to call it a "power fantasy" seems really wide of the mark.
I chose sorcerer class 😅, cause I want to shout random harry potter spell that doesnt make sense.

Whirlwind barb is a diablo staple. Anyone who gets mad about strong builds in an arpg is a moron.

Other skills not so effective like ww they dont have good movment and 360 aoe damage
@@lordmuro123 I just leap in with the great axe then go ham with two handed axes that's worked fine for me so far. I might be one of a rare type of person though, I've never been a big fan of aoe attacks.
I hate playing Diablo in a group setup. So classes like the rogue, necro or even sorcerer are not appealing right now. That is terrible to know if you want to push to endgame solo. Them beeing good additions to a group means nothing to me, because they won't be able (best players aside) to handle the endgame by them selfs.

I beat the game with a necromancer. Took down Uber Lilith pretty easy to be honest with the necromancer.
Playing tier 3 as a necro summoner....it's EASY. I melt everything on my monitor. This guy has absolutely no clue what he's talking about. LOL :))))
