This song broke my heart when it was released.. It was after his so-called "scandal" with his marriage and baby news and right before he went to the military.. It broke my heart cause he doesn't smile once in this mv and also 'annyeong' means hello but it also means goodbye.. So it felt like he was saying goodbye permanently like he wouldn't continue doing music after he'd complete his military service.. But fortunately that wasn't the situtation and we still get to enjoy his angelic vocals 😊

I cried when I first heard this song as he received so much hate for getting married. He released this song before enlisting. The lyrics..... So far no fans have asked him to sing this song live. I don't think i can take it if he did.
Like this song is carrying the pain he felt, the words that stucked in his throat during that time. Even I cannot listen this song repeatedly so of course I wouldn't have the heart ask him to sing this song again

This song always make me remember how deep the meaning of lyric. How he feel confused to say Hello to ExoL after some of them want Chen to leave Exo because he has married.

My bias is Chen but this song... I can't relisten this song no matter what. This song came after the news of his family, before his enlistment. Fake fans and haters are attacking him all day ... he was silent for a while then he went to military and left this song to us. This song always makes me remember those days where i didn't sleep while fighting the haters...it is like a trauma. I cant help but cry everytime I hear this song. That is why I don't listen often. I love him he is my angel he is the kindest soul out there and I'm proud of him for doing what needed to be done. He is the reason I became an EXO-L.

Chen is my bias, too. He stole my heart with an ost, and is why I found EXO. This song is so full of emotion for us still. It represents our happiness for his marriage, our sadness for the way he was treated because of it, and our anxiety for his military enlistment, (this was the last song he gave us before he joined.) I can listen to it with a glad heart now, but it was actually hard for me to hear it then.
I would love to see you do an album listen to Last Scene! There are some truly mind-blowing “Chen doing Chen stuff” moments on that album!!

Yeey another Jongdae reaction! I'd wanna say that you chose the right bias, but we all know that choosing is not really an option when it comes to biases and definitely not when we're talking about this group 😆
Hello is truly a gift to the fans who supported and will always support Chen. It came during a very tumultous time where many Korean fans turned their back on him after he'd come out with the news that he was going to marry the love of his life and would become a father as well.
After the news Jongdae basically dissapeared until it came out that he was going to enlist. Hello was the song he released before going and knowing that 'Annyeong' can both mean hello and goodbye in Korean made it even more heartbreaking. Nobody knew if he was going to come back and if he was, in what state, especially since the backlash of his marriage was huge. While the lyrics have not been written by Jongdae himself, there's no doubt in my mind that he was highly involved with the process, as the song is about the regret and longing that come with unspoken words during a goodbye.
Luckily he came back healthy and more driven than ever seeing as that he returned with 'I don't even mind' from the Last scene album! I'll be patiently waiting for the day you'll react to his more recent albums! 😊
