im buying a 1993 with 3,600 miles on it right now, 57,000 dollars, so yes they are appreciating, thats one reason why im buying it, the cuda' of the 90's
im a 3rd owner of a black 94. what sold me on my car was the venzano interior. black and red vinyl overlay in perfect shape with black and red leather seats. no more scratched gray dash in my viper. also a hardtop is a must on these 1st and 2nd gen cars. great cars for the money with performance out of the box and more available with mods.
I have a 93 viper. Spent extra money on tops and finally have one with windows The car runs hot and it gets hot inside a closed viper. Wrapped the exhaust with airplane wrap which cooled the exhaust. You can burn your legs on the sills but I put borlo exhaust on. a little to loud but I like it that way. Went to several race racks and learned from race car drivers. The car can easily run away on you and even though I have a lot of experience handling a car that gets out of control the viper is dangerously powerful and does not have computer aids like the vet or other cars. Love this car, it came without air. Who would order this car without air?? I put extra heat padding under the carpet which help some of the heat issues but when it is over 90 it can be pretty hot. I ended up turning the fan on which blew hot air and it was more comfortable. If your looking for a race car that you can drive on the streets then this is it. If you want a comfortable ride with extras this is not the card for you. The new ones are better though.
You dont make videos anymore? I love the viper and was interested to see what you replaced it with. I've been doing videos for 4 and half years and struggling hard to get subscribers but I also don't drive a viper but it is my dream car. I actually rode in one for the first time the other day after 25 years of wishing it finally happened. Now just to purchase one of my own.
I have a few cars Chevy Ford and Dodge. I still own my 96 GTS that i purchase new in 96 and this past October i purchase a 2017 # 37 GTSR VIPER. Out of the bunch those two are my favorite..
I bought my 94 over the weekend and it looks just like the one you are reviewing. I paid 22.5k and it had 17k miles on it. I love the hell out of it . The best bang for your buck right now for sports/supercar.
Prices have risen today a good gen 1 will cost you 35 to$45,000. and they are going up in value. More than 50% were wrecked in the first year because people didn't know how to handle this car. Dodge hired Skip Barber to teach people how to race and drive the car.
Do you live in Highlands Ranch CO? I grew up there and I seem to remember a neighbor with a red first gen viper who sold it around the time this video was posted. I noticed the CO plates in the background and these cars are pretty rare so it had me wondering
+Technical Issues It's a straight swap, however new replacements are no longer available and a un-damaged used hood has always been very expensive. So if you see a gen 1 hood on a gen 2 car or vice versa, it likely wasn't done by a previous owner just because he or she thought that it looked cooler, more likely the car had front impact damage to some degree.
The 1996 Dodge Viper RT 10 was a transition year...There are a few 96 Dodge Viper RT/10 that have Rear exiting exhaust And still have the Gen one smoothie hood... also 96 RT 10 is a very low production number because it is the same year they came out with the GTS.
They are 40 + grand now wow
first generation pre-facelift 92-95 is the nicest and tuffest one

Were these 20k in 2017??
More like 30k
Is this car reliable?
Hello, the hood is from a Gen2 Viper, do you know if that is a straight forward interchange, or are there modifications needed for fitment.
