The symbolism of the house in Youth is that it's meant to represent their past. At the beginning you see both Mingi and Yunho looking in through the windows and seeing themselves in the past where they were dealing with darker times. Them burning the house was probably like them burning their past and those dark emotions and being ready to move on
Mingi said he wrote this song when he was 22 (2years ago), and when asked who he would perform this song with, he answered Yunho. Not sure if he wrote it with Yunho in mind in the first place but it's a masterpiece!
intentional or not, the symbolism of Yunho being in a light coloured sweater versus Mingi's darker one to possibly represent Yunho being a light in Mingi's darkness. Youth really resonates with me deeply on both a visual and lyrical standpoint. Jongho had me yearning for an ex I don't have, beautiful in all aspects.
I had to be intentional. I refuse to believe it wasn't. Even lyrically, Yunho's lyrics are lighter than Mingi's which tackle deeper and darker topics. Youth is just so beautiful
Jongho said that Everything could be interpreted in various ways. You 'everything' could be a person, a thing, a dream you had, etc... The end with him at the basketball court is actually a nod to the lore from their Fever Diary film where Jongho was a basketball player and wanted to pursue a career in it but got in an accident making him lose that dream.
The scenes of Yunho in the garage with instruments in Youth is also a nod to that same diary film. Yunho's story was that he lost his (imaginary) brother who wanted to pursue a musial career and Yunho feels responsible so he takes it upon himself to pursue that dream for his brother.
i always crying when watching Everything....everytime im watch + everytime im watching people react to it😭...and im sad cuz i've lost my voice for more than 2 weeks cuz of flu...i can't sing this song huhuhuhu 😭😭😭 btw thanks for this reaction ❤️
The thing about the idea of adults saying sadness is happiness... what really hurts is the part where some older folks talk to the young adults like they are clueless and have never experienced struggle. Thats the part that is always like, oh, really? This is gonna be a fond memory just because im older? Like, depression, or anxiety, or alcoholism, or addiction, or intense personal struggles aren't things that come up at any age. I loved how they expressed everything in the song & m/v for Youth. ❤
Agree. It seems like he felt like he was being gaslighted by adults who were minimizing his struggle. 😢
I'm really liking the direction KQ continues to go with their groups and music presentation and production style as a company Jongho really seemed like he was feeling the emotion and ready to start his acting career and I'm really looking forward to seeing him act in a movie or kdrama
