There is a cut video where obviusly is another person, There is not a complete video of that speech with the shoe. even the famous picture is a mediocre photo edit, There's a video and the same photo of Khrushchev waving his arm without the shoe. The rumour was only propaganda. RAI, BBC, CNN,..etc are known for posting false news in their media, they defame leaders and governments, make up war interventions,.... since ever.

Greatest wishes to you, Nikki. Regret that moment which Zhukov groped your chestnuts on Stalin's Funeral in '53, and thanks for killing that godawful Beria on the way here. If he lived forever, he would have raped foreign delegates and guests.

I'm russian so I'll make a translation for you : Let me answer to the speech of USA representative, who just stated the need to proceed with their politics toward China, which of course is doomed to fail. He says (mr Penjen) that USA were called an "imperialistic power". Mister chairman, is that new to you ? Whole world knows that the most imperialistic power in the world is USA. Every sparrow on the roof tweets about it. That USA is the most imperialistic country, that support colonial regime. And he's resented ! Plays innocent like a lady, while this lady probably has ten children already. And then he says, thah him (Hommershel) continued colonial politics in Kongo, in USA interests. Is that new for you ? Mr Hommershel himself knows, whose interest he serves. Better than Penjen. Because he indeed is a loyal servant of monopolistic capital and represents in UN all countries that patricipate in criminal imperialistic politics. As a Chinese person, I have some constant hostility towards Khrushchev, because he was the one who happened to be there when both China and USSR ruined our relationships. That said, he was a strong leader, and Mao probably did more to burn bridges than Khrushchev. Things between us should have worked out better. To be allies and friends against NATO would have had mutual benefit, rather than mundane disagreements over ideology.

    • @cooperrush6474

I'm glad you can recognize that Mao bears some responsibility for the Sino-Soviet Split rather than just blaming everything on Khrushchev, this sort of nuance is unfortunately quite rare among the western left, but I'm just glad that China and Russia have since re-established their alliance against NATO.

In 1956 Lazar Khanotovich was expulsed out the party and the government due to being convinced as a American spy. In the China's Communist Party, Israel Epstein from the US joined the party and helped to established new China as a "New American's weapon" against the Soviet. +mylesag2 The video description does not claim it's the shoe banging incident. Reading K's own memoirs, he admits to banging his shoe. The exact circumstances are confusing, but it seems that his shoe came off, he was unable to put it back on due to his weight (as his son Sergei claims), and then, after breaking his watch while pounding his fist on the table, he resumed pounding with the shoe, which was just a handy thing to hit the table with. The whole thing, regardless of the exact circumstances, gravely embarrassed the Kremlin and the entire Eastern Bloc at the time, despite the brave face they put on it.

Here is a translation of the speech shown above. The alleged shoe is not included for reason of popular myth.
    legacy.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/1960khrushchev-un1.html
It takes some patience to listen, observing the profoundly dubious content of this speech. Example: Khrushchev claimed the Soviets would never impose their system on other countries. That didn't begin to explain why the Kremlin kept sending tanks and troops into any nation that had ambitions for self-rule, to break away, until the union went broke itself in 1989. Another: Mr. K rattled on about Western imperialism while the USSR was just as eager to expand their own control around the world, from Europe, to eastern Asia, to Africa, and to Latin and South Americas. All he buried the viewers with is baloney.
Consider the facts. General Khrushchev commanded the militarized political police during the battle of Stalingrad. Earlier he supported Stalin's ruthless purges, and intimately extended Stalin's personal atrocities in his governorship of his native Ukraine since 1939, where Mr. K personally led purges there. He effectively was a political intermediate between Stalin and his military services generals. Guess who commanded enforcement of the infamous Order 227 in Ukraine, a large part of the bloodiest theater in military history? You got it, it was Comrade K.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_No._227
Power didn't buy love in the communist party. Big K's protégé in Ukraine was none other than Leonid Brezhnev, who later led the plot to depose Khrushchev, after years of support and guidance from the portly politician. What else could anybody expect from a guy who eagerly received Hero of the Soviet Union medals (and related honors) -- he had over 100 medals -- as birthday gifts? A rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union came with his 70th birthday.

    • @satchelsatchel
      @satchelsatchel 3 роки тому

If you refer to the statement that Secretary Khrushchev made in 1963, "Your own [the capitalist states'] working class will bury you," then he did not use the words or phrasing which you have written. And the Secretary's expression does not specifically refer to the United States, although the US-being a capitalist country-was included within the scope of his prediction.
The image described by the Secretary is an image of the capitalist countries being buried by those countries' own working classes.
Since a country's own working class is found within that country itself, then it is not too much of a stretch to answer your question by saying _Yes_ because Secretary Khrushchev seemed to have meant that the capitalist countries (including America, among others) would fall from within.

    Translation:
Gentlemen delegates, allow me to respond a few times to the statement made by the representative of the United States, who spoke and argued for the need to continue a policy that is doomed to failure about the People's Republic of China.
He says that Mr. Pizhenko says, he says he said that he called America the United States of America an imperialist power.
Mr. Representative, what is this discovery for you? The whole world knows that the most imperialist power is the United States of America.
All the sparrows on the roofs are saying that the most imperialist power that supports the colonial regime in the colonies is the United States of America, and he is outraged at what kind of innocence, you know, is playing out here when he knows she is an innocent young lady. Probably has a dozen children already.
As he says, he said that. He will prevent the General Secretary of the Assembly from pursuing a policy in the Congo in the interests of American imperialism.
    Is this news?
Mr. Khmershi himself knows that he carried out his policy better than in the end because he is indeed a loyal servant of monopolistic capital and represents at the United Nations a state that is conducting a robbery imperialist.. imperialist colonial policy.

John Danes the USA isn’t really an empire. The only territory we have with empire like status is Puerto Rico (and even so Puerto Rico isn’t a colony, it’s a commonwealth, which means it has high levels of autonomy, other than that all we have are a bunch of tiny uninhabited or barely inhabited islands. And the USA isn’t gonna collapse anytime soon. It had a booming economy which is by far the best in the world, by far the best military in the world, is the worlds largest producer of oil, has a healthily increasing population etc., not exactly the signs of a dying nation.

@@Anthony-xp2kl Absolute bullshit, 6 million children die from hunger under capitalism each year alone. That adds up with killings such as the Bodo League Massacre. Regardless, he stated 1.6 billion instead of 2 because he didn't take into account fascism. Furthermore, the deaths under communism are widely inflated to fit the narrative of the west. During the Cold War they spread lies that ~90 million people died under communism, without any substantial data whatsoever.
