Xiaomi "banned" in the US?! [xiaomify]

- Just my five cents on the announced ban by the US on Xiaomi. It's not as restrictive and not as severe as it might sound. -This is not the typical style of video that I usually do, but I just wanted to point out what this seems to be and what it NOT seems to be. I had some people imply that this might affect Xiaomi from using Android as an operating system, or that they will stop selling products in the US, but it seems to be none of that.
Let's go!
-And yeah. We'll be going back to the normally scheduled programming right after this! - Наука та технологія
This will push China to be more independent technology-wise in the long game.
If you can't beat them, you ban them 😂😂
My!
You took the words out of my 😷

Damn Xiaomi be making Smart Tanks with free electric scooter when you pre-order.
I guess this is how america see Xiaomi.
Smart Tanks for honest prices😂😂
Does it fire high-explosive advertising rounds?
Yes they're giving a free scooter here in the Philippines on Mi 10T.
When I was a kid I used to think usa was the country of freedom
Lies, American Monopolies paid to ban competition I cant even buy a Xiaomi
I wish I could buy one the ui looks awesome
If this was a movie it'd be that part where the main character is getting too good and now the villains want to eliminate him.
Oh the accuracy 🤦😔 I feel for the U.S.A.🇺🇸🦅
@@jevonsims900 But wait, there's more. Things start to get difficult for the MC but then he gets this crazy good out of the box idea that wouldn't have happened if the villains didn't mess with him, and TKOs them with it.
This is the most pointless Ban ever.
USA in a nutshell
Xiaomi deserves this
@@ridhikasharma7377 Really? What is wrong with you.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
I wouldn't call this 'pointless' because this has a huge impact on Xiaomi's capital. Basically, Xiaomi will be excluded from both the US and UK stock exchanges. Many investors from the West are no longer able to invest in Xiaomi and are even forced to sell their shares. This causes Xiaomi's share price to plummet and the company loses a lot of capital and access to the largest capital markets.
@@kornar You are right. I just find the ban pointless.
US is weird, i think that is an understatement at the moment.
all this ban is getting on my nerve. thankfully, i'm not american.
Yeah but maybe rip GMS?
The majority of Americans don't care about Xiaomi nor Huawei so they are not loosing sleep over the bans. Most of em don't even know they exist.
@@efechief2659 They're the third biggest company in the smartphone market, Americans definitely know about them
@@efechief2659 Then why did they banned it, that just nonsense. I thought Xiaomi wasn't selling their products to the US but it was really popular in Asia. Why? They are jealous of the market share?
@@MistBestWaifu tech enthusiasts know about them but they are a small % by comparison. Also, third biggest cell phone company in the world means little in the U.S. market if you have no presence here. No stores sell Xiaomi. There are no commercials, headlines, etc. I saw one person in the US with a Xiaomi and the only reason I recognized it is because I had one.
Omgoodness thanks for clarifying everything
men..that background sound i really like.
That's why I'm trying to stop using all American products, including finding alternatives to UA-cam. Fingers crossed!
Google still wants to work with these Chinese companies, they're just not allowed to. Should be anti-trump, not anti-U.S. As we've seen in last year's voting results, most of them still have brains. Quite unfair of you to judge an entire country because of a few hundred thousand morons.
@@GamerGurl-yy9ok the president is just a puppet .. and the votes don't matter .. i know this hollywood-ish election is easy to digest but if people would collectively control their urge to glue themselves to the tv to keep up with the election squabble, none of this wouldn't happen. and there is a war and google is not some benign entity to serve the public ~they're just nOt AlLoWeD To~ my ass .. jesus f christ.
Same here, deleted Twitter and alike bought mate pro and degoogled it, already using pirated UA-cam without any ads.. Ps my mate is holding on 2d after degoogle process and is also faster, very interested to know what was Google doing behind my back to eat up 24h worth of battery
@@GamerGurl-yy9ok I won't support a country where they control what you can buy or not and then pretend to be the "freedom" country
@@GamerGurl-yy9ok let's hope the Biden Harris administration changes that
In Huawei's case it was an effort to combat their enormous advantage in 5G technology. A blatant case of protectionism. I am interested to learn what the political reasoning is this time.

USA throwing stones saying China's the bully... Huawei banned, Xiaomi banned, TikTok, WeChat, yeap
Well not exactly, few months ago I read about rumor that Trump administration hoping Facebook to buy Tiktok bcoz it start to becoming like trend in US, since many Americans using it too to promoted anything, now it considered as one of the top media that people look in terms of trend, & it's not a bully thing either
It's about how u deceiving people into believing dictator are like "this & that", & freedom are like "this & that", little to many who really carefully aware of what the government trying to sell, it's like someone wanna dictate u without showing themselves how they try to control u, just limiting ur own choice & using restrictions with ridiculous reasons is good enough to make u believe u still have so much freedom
China banned all US socal media platforms? How about state both sides
Thanks for the clarification. Different kind of video, and I liked it!
Trump rule: If you can't beat them, destroy them.😞
If you can't destroy them, try to let it beat u.
You'll surely enjoy Biden then. He's the President now.
You look so different than in my thoughts 😂
i thought the same :D
Age got him and same with the whole COVID thing
Hahahha just realized
Same thought. Haha
I think this is rude.
Awesome for being on cam now. Nice.
Are you based in the US? What Xiaomi products are available there locally?
Thank you your voice is awesome
Thanks for the update 👍😉😊
Facts, Xiaomi just a tech company. There is nothing to do with the military and so on😔😔😔
They don't even make 5G towers like Huawei. They're just a smartphone company.
@@eganplaysMCabsolutely
Hahaha then you know nothing about the rule of law in China. This has nothing to do with the nature of the company at all!

Really!
Does it work ok In the 🇺🇸
Me & 13 friends are wondering 🤔
@@superdude7459 hell yeah, I'm looking to buy another one. Probably a note 9, or 10.
I know xiaomi since 2013. First coming to my country which is xiaomi redmi note 4G and xiaomi mi3 and it was like what the heck is this brand lol. Then it slowly becomes popular among teenager because of low price and good performance for gaming plus big battery than most other brands. Since then i'm using many xiaomi phones already until now. Redmi note series(4G, 2, 3, 4/4x), redmi 4 prime, mi 3, mi 5s, mi a2 lite, mi max, max 2, and now poco f1. Probably change to a new device by the end of this year.
Tnx bro i was scared I've been using xiaomi phones and i love them
from which country are you if im allowed to ak? i know you live in china, but where did you came from?
Thanks God i don't live in America....
I agree
🇩🇰💪
You'll be indirectly affected though.
Thanks
Samsung makes military weapons and devices how is it not banned too?
Cause they are friends with the USA and probably give every data to the USA too. They only reason that they let them this big.
Korea love Donald Trump
@@Spike626721 Samsung are from South Korean, South Korean & Japan are the strongest allies in East Asia in terms of economy & technology development that have the opposite ideology than US rivalry (Russia & china that still adopt a communism or socialist, therefore even if their ally company had a big fight with their own, the government still need to consider the political effect if they wanna banned their allies brand.
But there's no need to be worried for that for their rival, by doing this (banned brand), it would gives their ally brand to monopolize the market that their brand already loosing it, when it just lead to two big company that over take the marketplace in each market, apple for apple fans, Samsung for Android, than it least competitive for the two to fight on with each other, soon rather than trying to compete, they rather try to make some kind a deal between them to rule over the market of how they want to sell the product to people, when people have less choice to go, they couldn't go anywhere beside of this brand, period, now that how u deceiving people in terms of controlling
@Kit Tejido maybe bcoz like u said, it monopolize the market in US, if it still leaves the US industry have its own market, probably they wouldn't do it, its like when u best friend with someone, that someone wouldn't be a problem if they got greedy as long it not consume you too, but if it became like that, than u need to take action for it. Now it maybe look it just chinese that bad bcoz of these sanction or ban or hateful towards china with all of their accusation, but things like this are also happened when the japanese economy start to booming, especially for the automotive industry, americans start to buying japan product bcoz it much more fit to their condition or needs, a proper car with more efficient fuel consumption, there's no need for big horse power for average mom or dad to go to work, enough to take the whole family like mpv that are compact too in terms of parking in small places, japan made things for everyday used are also flooding the market making americans manufacturer hard to compete to their less pricey stuff, to the point they had enough bcoz the government being consider do nothing about it & riots came in with target destroying japanese made so theirs can survive, now it happens again, and how the government play games with this issue??? By playing victims of who to blame, & guess who in the first place lead this to happened? The government did, they being dictate or make an agreement with the elites on how to cut cost by transfering all their line manufacture to china, its ok if u want to save money, but its never ok to led it all to that but not protecting ur own, now when the people start to feel the impact, are the elites responsible for it, no, they just play victim games, oh we've been screw up, we've been lied, they steal us, and pretend like a hero came to save the day by cutting this cutting that.
And if that still not satisfied our need to blame someone about what happpening in the US market, tell me why does huawei & other chinese brand like xiaomi manage to become a great contender that could stealing americans or even their allies market? I mean it have apple, motorola, others, samsung, lg for their ally, why the chinese product still rising?
It all been written in the economic books, when someone don't want to learn, they will end up being catch up by other competitor that could read the market & provide solution instead just lingering in the same excuse or hope, an affordable phone with good specs, actually u don't need to have to high specs just to play games for average gamers unlike pro one, u don't need a fuckingly very crystal clear till ur pimples can be capture in ur camera like u need to take seroius pic for a job, if it just for a hobby or even family or friends meet, just as long as it clear not making ur face blur or have something weird thats ok, u don't need a super fast chip like u browsing on a competition games who the fastest, but guess what the industry try to tell us? It needed to be that way, so we can be no. 1 in anything even if we don't need to
Because Samsung is mostly owned by US. Simple.
Thanks.
Yes its a different ban, but its the first step towards the entity list ban
In Serbia Xiaomi is best buy phone! Every house in Serbia have one xiaomi phone
Because we are gypsies... in exyu
All my family and friends in Serbia have iPhones.
Xiaomi is very popular in Portugal 🇵🇹 too. Nobody buys a Motorola 📱 here.
What happened to your phone? Mi 11?
Wat is dit toch een gaaf kanaal....💪💪💪
I have a xiaomi (redmi note) phone for a few years (that will be it's 4th year). Best phone I ever had. Id already buy a new xiaomi phone but this one still works without flaws. I recommended them to everyone and whoever bought them also praises them. They always use newest technology for cheap. Unlike the "most popular exclusive" brands (u know) that only care about milking people and introduce old technology packed in fancy releases for expensive price.
Maybe it will push Xiaomi going more open source, I'd love that!
TBH, most major corporations in the US and the West's biggest international markets and offices are in China. If things were really about security, the govt would request those companies to pull out in which they haven't. This is mostly economically motivated.
I saw this coming when Xiaomi over took apple on phone sales. Apple will still drop like Sony and HTC. Xiaomi for life ✌️🔥
Sony was much better than crap Apple and samsung, they went downhill due to their own lack of promotional strategy. only two phone companies i like is Sony and Xiaomi, nuff said
I just purchased Xiaomi mi 11 it has wide US carriers bands, and great insane camera and specs,
It can have Google mobile services.
Don't forget Huawei ban started this exact same way. I think xiaomi is going the way of Huawei.
agree
This is it boys!
Awesome video! You not American? I thought you were... You English is perfect! You Canadian? 😉
It's official baby 😂
Thank god the ban is just minimal unlike what they did to Huawei. I just bought Poco X3 like just now, I would pretty pissed if I cant use Google Playstore in the phone
Xiaomi is well known for it has tons of third party developers... Even if the play store gone, I bet you could easily install custom Rom
Do note that Huawei's ban exactly started this way.
@@cynergy I hope not but you need to know Xiaomi company is much smaller tech company than giant Huawei. What make Xiaomi 'harmless' than Huawei is they dont make 5g and their founder has nothing to do with CCP veteran

well am not gonna take risk for now ill be shifting brands until they sort this out thanks for the vlog xiaomify
Next is vivo, oppo or oneplus?
why xiaomi share prices still so high...i am trying buy some shares!
I still love Xiaomi best phones I've ever bought, I'm excited by mi 11 because it has more US UK carriers bands
what about the illegal arrest by manipulating hsbc bank?
I can sense that maybe xiomi will be the top rivals among other established gadgets brands...it ecosystems is catching up with more devices especially smart home devices
DJI have also been banned in the US

Huawei freelace Pro "24hours battery life USB C built for on the go recharging from handset but never needed .
Where did they copy these from? Anybody
Just bought my poco F2, great phone.
I want the x3, not sure if that's possible now
Don't buy poco device as the launcher animation(android 10 system animation) is broken if you will using stock poco launcher. Better buy xiaomi or redmi brand device as it equipped with miui system launcher and the animation is good. I wait for poco launcher new updates to fix the bug more than a year already they didn't fix the bugs. Btw i'm using poco f1.the device almost 3 years already
@@oyen9476 I've installed a custom Rom (Xiaomi EU) , and I've reinstalled the poco launcher, as I like it.

This is how Huawei banned first in US. Then to blacklist.
I was surprised Xiaomi was selling any products at all in the USA to begin with.
Well Europe is awash with xiaomi, it's only natural they flow to the USA. But I getchu.
People are tired of paying crazy amounts for a phone, Huawei and xiaomi have phones that are as good or better for a fraction of the price.
So their next phones won't have google apps?
no

I suggest a few more milliseconds between your video cuts to make it sound more natural.
In the Netherlands not at all... I have a Mi Watch ⌚ and also poco X3
Currently we are on Cricket Wireless... They have dropped support for ALL Xiaomi phones. We just bought a new Note 9Pro two weeks ago. The IMEI number can not be activated on any AT&T, T-Mobile, or any of their subsidiaries! So they are blocking their phones starting only 1 week ago. --- So this is going further than just STOCKS!

WE STAND BY XIAOMI 💪💪小米🧡support from Serbia,to best smartphone brand in the world!!!
The ban has been lifted May 12 2021.
I'm seeing your face for the first time
It's easy to root Xiaomi right ?
For me yes. I love their miui since the old one. Also, compared to huawei, their phone is cheaper with comparable specs or even better. Their early days honor brand phone is pretty competitive but after that, meh for me.
I am buying Xiaomi products since note 2 was available and I was doing all the ROM tricks to work in Europe. Until now that phone is working perfectly even the battery is great. I am Fan since then and the only thing that I have to say is that all their products for their price are the best. the build quality is amazing. I can afford a Samsung or an i-phone but y I have to do that if I have the same thing at a better price? Guys try to buy any Xiaomi product and you will see... Spend your money on something else, to travel, to invest. Don't buy a 1500$ phone just to show off
xiaomi just up my note six to 12 yesterday great job xiaomi two year old phone
What's next, Oneplus?
xiaomi doesn't even sell in us, why would US ban xiaomi?
Trying to stop mi 11 sales
Xiaomi is good working in all brands 👍💝
The US government just takes ''little'' steps attacking competition abroad, right now you can still use google services with Xiaomi but for how long? US tech company's just follow the government. And the US is abusing it's power and which got such a huge spending problem they resort to low blows below the belt like this. And also we in Europe are impacted with this, we still gonna buy Xiaomi without google and such? I love Xiaomi products.
Is that a Mi Air Notebook 13" sitting there on your desk? It is your daily driver?
That is very right no need to patronaized that kind piece of junk!!!!!
ive been buying xiao i phones for a while now in the us but since all of this i pledge to only buy huwawei and xiaomi phones
Ban or not, with or without Google as long as huawei and xiaomi are selling their products in my country i still buy it

Oh I thought huawei only ban in U.S xiaomi had ban too.
All i can say is the the whole world is crazy
They won't sell them on AliExpress if you live in the US now. That's not a good sign.
Yah. I cannot buy xiaomi phone on AliExpress anymore because they do not ship to usa
Just wait for the next administration
This didn't age well, unfortunately
This channel has "Xiaomi" as its root word... hope this is fine.
Man you look like uncle Jack from breaking bad 🤣
Dont think google would agree to ban on xiaomi devices, many millions of profit would be lost in india alone.
if you can't beat them ban them.
The thing is why China can't ban Apple??
Xiaomi mi max 3
Waiting for max 4 / folding screen
Or
Huawei mate fold /2 in uk
Before the ban Xiaomi stock market price was increasing. Wall Street & politicians again profit from the devaluation of another company, add Xiaomi to the list.
It starts off small!!! Then it becomes a Huawei situation!!! Let me just say I don't support either side, I'm all about the innovation and competition, which can only be good for us the customer and let us not forget that many American products/companies are banned in China including GMS so really what we're seeing is a tit for tat. But trust me on this once the D.O.D are involved this situation with Xiaomi will follow a similar path. This is just business now!!!
its because 7-10 years apple defeated by android😂 money matters just like huawei political and money..just continue support xiaomi and they will see it😁 i love xiaomi.. more power @xiaomify godbless..
Actually us investors have a couple of months to divest their shares in xiaomi nonetheless how long do you think it would take before that Ban is expanded like Huawei? as I understand it the move was done because the Chinese government has taken to placing government officials on the boards of these large companies and as far as the US is concerned that represents a security risk
nord stream 2 is also in danger
Trump: we will make America great again
