    Subframe spacers are the way to go. That's how I did my Forester years ago. I never lost a boot it made it perfect.

      I would definitely run subframe spacers once past 2 inches. Otherwise you'll cook everything. I'm running an ADF lift and have only broken one axle (my own fault lol.)

    Subaru needs bigger wheel wells, factory front and rear locking diff. I hope Subaru embraces the overland/ off road life.

    • @LiftedImports7
      @LiftedImports7  8 місяців тому +1

      Locking diffs would be sick! I use a Torq Locker in my Subaru and it works really well. If they did bigger wheel wells, people would burn up the transmissions. I'd love to see a dual range again but with an actually usable reduction gear. THAT would be the real game changer.

      We don't personally work on customer vehicles. We just document people's modifications etc. But if you're looking for a similar exhaust setup, almost any shop near you could install one like in the video:) You may even be able to do it right in the driveway with almost no effort. Here is a link to a very similar Nameless muffler delete. They do have some dual chamber and single chamber options etc as well. shop.namelessperformance.com/axleback-exhaust-outback-xt-2020-muffler-delete/

    Nicely done, it takes time and lots of work to do your own lifts from scratch, and need to stoutly built, looks like you did most of it 1/4" steel, thats easily 4 fold stronger than factory stuff would be, Toyota now owns 21% shares of Fuji heavy industries which owns Subaru, I don't understand why Subaru doesn't use the Toyota 8 speed auto from their mid size car platform , they are extremely strong and no overheating issues from having an oversized fluid capacity, all Subaru would have to do is design a bell housing for the transmission and it fits all their platforms , then its just programming the TCM, your Outback would be much more capable and add a trans oil cooler and i'd bet you'd have very little if no issues to speak of really,A young millwright that works with me owned a 2015 Outback LTD and built his own lift kit he copied from a company about the start of 2020, we did it all in house on our CNC's and CNC Plasma table we regularly cut 1 3/8" heat treated Boron on it so the lift kit was an easy cut out, although it did take about 4-5 attempts before we got it right, any spacers needed we machined on our mill that was easier than the Plasma cutting i'd have to say, in total if i remember correctly it was 2inch lift , one it was one the ground settled it was more like 1 3/16", to me more like 1 1/8", he did get 28.4 inch tires to fit with no rubbing, it had a great stance and looked ready to go off roading, sadly he had to sell it and get a larger vehicle , they had a 3rd child unexpectedly , so they bought a Palisade and he bought a 2007 Tundra ext cab with the 4.7 V8 and we started again and built this one strong , there's so much aftermarket support for Toyota trucks, getting a rear locker for that truck was expensive gears ,diff and axle shafts were almost $3000 CDN and we did the install at our work, he wanted a front locker , too bad none were available and he built his own front and rear bumpers out of Boron and we heat treated them so they weren't going to break and a Warn 10k winch in the front and a set of 33" Falcon Wild Peak AT3's, he has had good luck with them so far and he's been surprised at how good they are in mud, he currently would like to upgrade his transfer case and it finding its not so easy to do for that year or its really expensive, your Outback is cool 👍

    You think the 265s would fit with a 2 inch lift on front and 2.5 inch on rear? That’s the size I originally wanted to do but folks were saying it was too big. I have the Raceworks kit coming in a couple weeks and new tires and wheels in a month. If I can do 265s that would be perfect

    • @LiftedImports7
      @LiftedImports7  14 годин тому

      @@TheOnlyArkmaster you could probably MAKE them fit. But I wouldn't suggest it😅 Even on this setup it's the very far end of what I'd ever run on a Subaru. This build was more of a "let's push this platform as far as we can just for fun" kind of thing. Do you have a wilderness?
