Best review I've seen. I was hesitant to watch it due to the length but I found it to be so informative. I am working with a friend/dealer here in California and can now give him the exact specs that I want now knowing what all of the packages are and what they come with and what stand alone options there are. I have scoured the internet over the last 6 months to try and understand the different packages and what each option actually is and it's been so confusing. This has been the most helpful. I agree, Ford needs to give this guy a raise or a promotion or both. Unfortunately, I will not be buying from him but he definitely helps sell trucks for other dealers and deserves credit for that.
Yeah this guy is amazing. It's refreshing to see someone really take the time to learn and know their stuff.

A week after writing this comment I ended up getting a 2018 Lariat 3.5l FX4 with 20in wheels....Magma Red. Absolutely love it!
Just appreciate someone explaining it correctly when you think about it makes sense teach the homelink system the code the remote is sending then teach the opener the new transmitter

This is a fabulous video that cove4rs everything available on a Top of the Line Lariat. This is great information that covers everything and I for one would be studying this video prior to visiting the Ford Dealership showroom. The review is absolutely intertaining and the guy that feels it to be boring is out of his mind. I believe that I will be interested in a complete fully equipped Lariat with all the bells and whistles but I think I will have to have one patient salesperson to assist me with my new truck.

Great Video I'm shopping for a used 2018 F150 and it's hard to know what your really getting this is the best video so far. You did say the 3.5 ecoboost will tow any 5th wheel. I would not recommend that great video anyway.

Good review, but I disagree that the 3.5 liter ecoboost will tow any 5th wheel trailer. 5th wheel trailers require at least a 3/4 ton truck. There may be a few exceptions, but generally speaking, 1/2 ton trucks aren't adequate or safe to pull 5th wheel trailers.

This is the type of guy I’d like to meet at the dealership lot. Last time I went to check out new RAM 1500 the salesman who showed me the truck was trying to convince me that this Ram is only 2WD but it has eco boost so it’s like having 4WD 🥺

I love how you get the regular, can change it to chrome with a package, then the next package changes it to the same as your body paint, then the next one completely gets rid of everything and looks entirely different. Seems like a waste of money, unless I’m missing something?
I feel like at this point the lariat is just so close to the king ranch package, and that package is just slightly more aimed towards luxury and comfort and it just seems more worth it to get a king ranch
Hello, your video is very good !. I have a question I have a ford f150 lariat sport and I remember that the gear level leds turned on at night and now they do not work, they tell me in the ford dealer that they should not turn on, is this correct?

Hi.. I ran into your awesome video. It is now November, 2019 and ran into a net new 2018 at my local dealer. It is the Lariat with the 502A package. Question: does the stereo system have any aux plugs to connect external devices? Or a USB plug connect a flash drive with music? I think the trend it is NOW Bluetooth connectivity. :-(
It will not have aux jacks but there will be usb ports.
What's the deal with the whip antenna? Does it actually serve a purpose?
Does the XL trim come with the Key-less Entry Key pad ? is it an option, or is it only available on XLT trim levels and above ? Thanks
It is available with the 101A Mid Equipment group as part of the power equipment group.

What's the difference between f150 king ranch luxury and f250 king ranch luxury
On the Super Duty, Ford packages the packages differently. There isn't a King Ranch Luxury Equipment Group. There is a King Ranch Ultimate Package that includes BLIS w/cross traffic alert, LED Fog Lights, LED Taillights, Quad Beam LED Headlights, Twin Panel Moonroof, Multi-Contoured Seats, Tailgate, Power Deployable Running Boards.

Then you probably have a 500A or 501A, it is optional on those equipment groups, standard on the 502A equipment group.
Can you get a column shifter in the lariat? I don't like the console shifters at all, so it's kind of a deal breaker... =(
I know if you go with the 40/20/40 front bench seat you will get the column shifter.

Ford definitely needs to replace the little dashboard screen with a full panel LED display like the 2019 RAM 1500, it looks sick. I love the 2018 ford lariat v8, but that 2019 RAM might sway me away from ford.....🤔
TheDynamiteDmoney Ford actually has a bigger screen but it's split up. Ford has a 8 inch screen on the dash called a productivity screen and another 8 inch screen on the center. Put both together and you have a 16 inch screen. The dodge has a 12 inch screen
Why? I’ve had two different dodge trucks, an ‘06 2500 Cummins quad cab and a ‘08 1500 4.7 quad cab. I just think dodge makes cheap plastic interiors and cheap metal bodies. I think they look good, but in the long run, Dodge’s just suck!! They break down to much and are cheaply made.
My ‘99 F-150 has never had any major issues, just maintainence. I’m going to stick with Ford.
Excellent vid! I have a question. Is the physical size (width and length) of the F150 Lariat the same as the F250 Lariat? I have a 2016 Supercab F150 5.0 Lariat (6.5 Box) which barely (I mean barely) fits in my garage. Height is not an issue. I am considering upgrading to a 2017 or 2018 (when they come out) F250 6.7 Lariat if it is the same size as my current truck.
2018 F-150 Super Crew length is 244, width is 80. 2017 F-250 Crew Cab length is 266, width is 80.

Is it possible to get a stripe delete on the special edition package? In other words; if you like all the features- but don’t want the stripes, can they be omitted and yet still get the rest of the features in the package?
If not an option (doubtful it is), you can use a hair dryer to remove the decals - which is probably what the dealer would charge you to do.
