I think free agency ruined the sports we new (not that sports are objectively bad now...just that it's not what it used to be). The first time I saw Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Ronnie Lott in non-49er uniforms, it started going downhill for me.
Players used to be invested in their teams. Now, their only investment is to the money. The current way is possibly better for the players' bank account, but I do miss those good ole days when a player was drafted by a team, and played for that team until retirement. 😪

10:00... anyone from Chicago knows that. Zeke was a St. Joseph's star. Legend in Chicago. His dream was to lift Chicago. But he was in Detroit, and in Chicago came this guy named Jordan. And close to that time, came the 86 Super Bowl with the Bears. Always thought he was a little salty about Jordan being the face of Chicago instead of the kid that did all he did at St. Joseph's. For the trade from the Bulls... Jordan was pissed about that, I remember like it was yesterday. The Bulls liked what they saw with a young Horace Grant but knew they needed a more dominant center for the triangle offense. So they traded Oak for Cartwright, Grant went into the lineup in his place and did really well.

True. Oakley fashions himself as this macho tough guy. Some fans forget or don't know how equally tough Barkley was. The only difference was that Barkley was way better than anything Oakley could've been.

Big LaSalle Thompson, with the Kings, Pacers, etc, a equal to Oak, was a Frontline Center/Power Forward enforcer during mid/late 1980s and early/mid 90s, a man who had respect around the league also, very Wes Unseld like with the rebounding and post interior defense in his spot starting role playing
