Excelente 👌 video MOTOR una buena opción para mi 1641cc que todavía no empiezo a armar 🤣🤣 apenas conseguí un casis con suspensión flotante y lo acabo de pintar y le puse pintura texturizada para el exterior BODY ya solo falta empezar a quitar todos lo componentes para montar la carrocería y cuando este eso.. dedicarme al motor.. 😬😬 un largo proyecto para mi solo, pero ya estoy acostumbrado desde los 17 a hacer mecánica solo 🤣 ahora con 39, pues igual me gusta para aliviar el estrés tal vez..

Hola una pregunta, compre el carburador de 39mm pero no encuentro una válvula de flotador más grande, si le pongo una bomba de gasolina eléctrica de mayor presión con un regulador crees que eliminaría el problema de que se vacíe el tanque del carburador?
Excellent information! I’m currently building a mild engine for my 62 bug. 1776, small valve dual port heads, and Scat C25 cam. I want to keep the stockish look to the motor, so this 39 pict 3 and a CB manifold should be what I’m looking for. Did you measure the Venturi diameter on this carb? I wonder if I could leave it in and still see an improvement?
Now I need to come up with a good exhaust that has pea-shooters.

Bought the 37mm from CIP1. BBT label. Idles fine drives ok except on acceleration just dies out any ideas what to look for?
Mannnnnn thats nice. I spent 5K (Shop Built New Engine) 1915 and I bet it doesn't produce 70 HP. It feels like a good running stock 1600.

I have a 2054cc with a 120 cam and the 37.5/42 heads… I have this 39 pict 3 that I want to attempt to do what you’ve done… How did you increase the bottom runners??

Funny you should bring this up. I've also been thinking of actually converting my twin 44 IDF carburetors to a 39 pict 3 carburetor like you're planning to do. I've looked at the end casts for the type 4 engine. It doesn't look to be that difficult to reroute everything like the type 1 end casts. For the bottom runners I used a one and a half inch pipe. The inside diameter of it is around 36 and 1/2 mm which in truth is right on the edge of too big but for the 2234 CC engine it's no problem. So you might want to get a slightly smaller pipe that is somewhere between 34 and 35 mm on the inside diameter for that 2054 engine. If you watch all of the video series you'll see how I made the whole intake manifold. Very simple I would say on a scale to 1 to 10 it's about a 6 1/2 in difficulty. The carburetor bracket that welds onto the intake runner it's probably a little bit more difficult but not impossible just take your time. I believe I used one quarter inch steel to make it.

What part number is the cb manifold that you are talking about?
On that app how much hp does the 914 have ? Stock it's like 80 hp .

The 2056cc Porsche engine with stock cam makes 109hp.
It has higher c/r wich increases the HP. But also the stock 914 heads come with 42mm intakes and 36mn exhaust valves.The bus type 4 engines have smaller valves.
