It was no surprise that Venezuela's Yulimar Rojas won the gold in the women's triple jump final and set a new world record of 15.67 in the bargain. The outstanding Venezuelan jumper Yulimar Rojas won the gold in the Women’s Triple Jump (Athletics) event of the Tokyo 2020 (in 2021) Olympic Games at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium with a massive distance of 15.67. She was followed to the podium by Patricia Mamona of Portugal and Spain's Ana Peleteiro. After breaking an Olympic record with her first jump, Rojas fouled on her penultimate effort before breaking the world record with a dramatic final go at it.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games took place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

Rojas is out of this world. first jump, she broke olympic record. last jump, she broke world record. spectacular show
Yes. he is great! Among men as well.
the Spanish athlete also celebrating the WR is so heartwarming and joyful to watch
her training partner
@@briancockerham4731 I was going to say that 😂😂 and she was always talking to their coach on this event. I read somewhere that Yulimar trains in Spain as well

I really like the committee of this edition of Olympics. They posted immediately the championship games/finals unlike the previous one that posted only after a year or more. Thank you Olympics for giving us opportunities to watch these videos since only few videos are uploaded in other media and we are not able to see the other games.
they got nothing to do outside maybe
Yessss, appreciation for the team in charge of these uploads! ❤ I've never been a sports fan, but I discovered such a huge interest through this year's events!! 🙏🏻
I agree!!👏🏾👏🏾

Absolutely a great Olympic youtube channel ... couldn't find the Men 4x100 though
This contest was chef's kiss: Yulimar Rojas crushing the World Record, Patrícia Mamona entering the 15 meters club and Ana Peleteiro breaking the Spanish national record twice. And though finishing fourth, Shamieka Ricketts was great too.

I admire triple jumpers. Rojas' phases are spectacular, she gets amazing lift off the jump, and her landing just tells you that these athletes know what they're doing, and they pour their heart and soul into perfecting their execution like no others in track do. It's one of the hardest events to do, and I had never thought 15.50 would even be touched, let alone destroyed. This is like if some guy just suddenly jumped over 9 metres in the long jump. Her world record is not appreciated enough. And it's one of the greatest in field Olympic history.
She gets amazing... or He gets amazing? Big difference...

Me sentí extraordinariamente feliz viendo, no puedo imaginar su sentimiento. Que Orgullo eres Yulimar!
I really admire of Patricia Mamona, she just 166cm height but could entering 15.01 m triple jump! Thats a EXTRA effort of her!
and also Rojas, love her spirit until could broke the world record since 26 years ago!!!
true
And she is so feminin and beautiful too 🤗
Mamona is great and she is the best among women!
Truly a remarkable sport to break a world record it takes years of practice, congrats.
¡BIEN HECHO!😉
I have never been able to get into the field events, but out of all the events, this was my favorite. To get the WR at the Olympics is amazing. And the excitement of everyone after seeing it done. This was so fun to watch.
I forgot, on the last attempt at that too. What's crazy is Rojas seems like she has more in the tank, so I suspect she is gonna better it.
So proud of Ana Peleteiro! What a final, I enjoyed it a lot. Outstanding women
Yulimar Rojas improvement because 2016 Rio Olympic silver medal now Tokyo Olympic gold😊🥰
omg i’ve never watched the triple jump before but this was such a delight to watch!!! all the athletes are a joy to watch and all of them have their own personality that you can see 😂
Dinesh Verma it does!!! my whole body is aching just watching it

One of highest moments of Tokyo 20. Congratulations Rojas !
Sorry, why do you talk about Rojas? It was a competition among women.
After the 2nd jump, Rojas's leap was so impressive, I was like where she is, and then she suddenly landed on the dirt, it looked like she almost flew, she is actually threatening 16 metres,
She's still only average technique-wise. This woman could legit get 16 meters in a couple of years.
Some Humans are perfectly born for some sports 😂🤣🤣
You can say that again!!
Mamona is lovely.
Our queen YULIMAR ROJAS 😍🇻🇪

@@Alfonsomarisol this wr is out of this world, it's over 60 cm further than 2nd place in this olympics. To me all top 4 athletes were great. Peleteiro and Mamona both breaking National record twice, and Rojas with a wr that had not been broken in 26 years.

Thank you for fast upload! Really appreciate it!
Thank you Olympic.
Girl just said, "Issa wrap!" with the 1st jump and then made a world record with the last jump
What a magnificent performance by Rojas.
I love the Spanish girl, who won Bronze, first hugging the Portuguese Silver medal winner, and then totally freaking out over the Gold jump.
Something about getting into MMA in recent years, this athleticism is super amazing to watch, feeling more informed about athletes after never having watched sports before.

Wonderful style. The relatively short middle phase allows her to concentrate her remaining energy into a ~6m long jump at the end.
