The commentators for London for athletics were so bad. Like come on guys, make an effort to pronounce the names correctly. They said wrong names, wrong PB’s, and wrong countries.
In a sport where everyone is in their late teens early 20's being in your 30s and still competing is an acheivement on its own... He's 44 now & still competes which is amazing. Peak form is late 20s. Our bodies take on a lot of damage & healing is very difficult after a peak. I doubt he meant it in a derogatory way.
@@Malfoy1594It’s the same with gymnastics. I hate how the commentators always say that someone in their 20s should be “retired”, or make comments about how “they are still performing well at their age”. Times have changed, but they still don’t seem to realize how bad it sounds when they focus on age so often.
Why is there a woman with hijaab during the medal ceremony? After seeing that woman now I believe that Europeans love Muslims, otherwise I wouldn't have believed this, LOL!
She obviously has a job to do, as there were many dressed just like her. She happens to be a woman with a job to do wearing hijab. Her religion doesn’t have anything to do with her job. Weird comment. It would seem quite obvious to most people that if she’s standing there, she’s standing there for a reason…….
To answer your question tho, the women wearing purple are “games makers” who are escorting the winners to the ceremony wearing purple dresses designed by students at the Royal College of Art in London. The men holding the medals and the flowers are also wearing a purple hued suit made by the London college of art.
Brillant commentary. They know there stuff behind all the everyday person commentary.

I'm glad the " old guy " got the bronze because he is NOT old.
