I would argue that reading romance novels IS having a love life, even if it's vicarious 😂
Two main things re covers: they’re trying to attract women’s lit readers, and they’re trying to give covers that readers don’t feel the need to hide. Romance readers have said for years they can’t let people see the hard ab covers, and publishers have responded accordingly, especially in trad pub. In indie I still see a broader mix.

If you want to read a fantasy romance you should definitely check out The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L Jensen. It's really good.

If you are a fan of soft , slow burn romance genre in entertainment then you should definitely try Kdramas. THEY ARE THE DEFINITION OF CUTE LOVE STORIES. ❤

If you like Red, White and Royal Blue, I recommend Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. I loved it even more than RWRB.

I’m not a big fan of romance books, and normally prefer other genres that have some romance in them. Mostly because sometimes it’s hard to tell ahead of its going to the overly ‘steamy’ romance that I don’t enjoy, or the ‘cute’ romance that I do like.
That said, I did like Beach Read a lot and also have People We Meet on Vacation that I’m looking forward to. A couple others that I’d recommend if you like the slightly less steamy, but still romance and cute type are Love Your Life by Sophie Kinsella, and many of the more recent books by Christina Lauren
Beach read was ok. It wasn't what I was expecting. I loved people we meet on vacation.
Spanish Love Deception is a 10/10 ⭐️
if you haven't yet, definitely give The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang a try! I had it on my shelf for a while before picking it up and I regret waiting so long. Such a cute read!

I love fantasy romances also! Would definitely recommend The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon as well as The Queen and the Cure. Plus The Sevenwaters series by Juliet Marillier. Lady of the Forest by Jennifer Roberson is a great retelling/romance of Robin Hood & Lady Marian. Freedom and Necessity by Steven Brust & Emma Bull is one of my favorites. Very long but so unique, clever, and has one of my fave heroines.

OMG I am reading only romance for more then a month. I binge read all the books in the series From blood and ash - it was good but really slow pace. I would recommend for a fans of S.J. Maas .
Oh, and 2 days ago I finished The Charm Offensive and I really liked it. I didn't see any resemblance to Red, White and Royal Blue and I think they use it as a comparison for some marketing trick to sell more books, but the book itself was a really really good. read.
And if you are wondering right now I'm reading Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World and I adore it. If I start righting quotes on a piece of paper, it will mean that I have to copy the whole book, that's how good it is.

I read a lot of romance too and my favorites of the year so far have been Amour Amour and It Happened One Summer. Both having a solid storyline, good character development and 2 gigantic sexy male interests who are absolute sweethearts and open about their love for the girl. Soooo cute
YES SPANISH LOVE DECEPTION. It is a bit long, though.
My favorite romance authors (currently) are Helena Hunting (A favor for a favor is freaking fantastic but it's best to read the series as a whole) and Maya Hughes (I read her fulton U series in a week and adored them all, pretty much. Be careful of triggers though, such as abusive parents in at least 3 of the books).

Hi , if you want to dive into the romance I highly recomend The Black dagger brotherhood series by J. R. Ward for a vampire series. Hands down the best vampire series out there. Really nothing beats them.10/10 For a contemporary romance I would suggest Penelope Douglas`s Devil`s night series also her standalones. She is amazing. Also Giana Darling`s Fallen men series. If you are looking for more cute romances you go with everything from Suzan Elizabeth Philips.
