Jeep has been out to Colorado and Moab twice, Rausch creek, and Gulches Offroad park. I tried to cover every part of the Gladiator so far but if you have any questions on the build just ask.
I'm trading my F150 in for a Gladiator in June and the SmartCap is one of the first things going on it, besides tires and rims. What is it about the SmartCap that everyone you know hates? My wife didn't like the look of the Gladiator until I showed her it with the SmartCap then she said it was an improvement and she likes the look of it now.
I think most people hate the cost and that it can leak still and also the latch issues. I’ve been lucky with mine, yeah it’ll get some water drips every now and then but I’m 98% dry in there.
Glad to hear someone loving their gladiator 👏👏 that's probably the 2nd best color aside from Gobi wish I kept mine.
Thanks! My number 1 was gator. 2nd was Gobi. When i went to buy this i got to a dealer right when they opened, when i came back from the test drive a dude was waiting for this one. I bought he, he ended up with the gobi haha.
Nice Rig! How far from Kent Island are you? We have a Jeep club here and are always looking for more people!
I’m up in north east!
Looks good
love the look of the smartcap
Don’t trade ur f150 for a gladiator. They’re not real trucks. Payload sucks and towing performance sucks.
Diesel will pretty much outpull a 2.7 or 3.5 eb and get better mpg keeping in mind max towing. Its a mid sizer so its not apples to apples. I had a 19’ 2.7 and traded it for my 20’ 3.6 which I moved into a 21’ ED JT. Pulled better and got 4-5mpg better. Rear air bags and zero squat. Not to mention its not a Ford with a warped dash lol. First and last Ford I will ever own. What a mistake.
Ok i def won’t ever consider that because of that info. Thank you
And my wife is currently in a ford bronco lease, which two years in is turning in a complete nightmare. Leaking shocks, rusted rear window bolts, airbag warnings, rattling dash and underwhelming mpg. We wont do Fords ever again. She previously had a Dodge Journey 3.6, zero issues outside the trans cooler hose at 99k. Outside that, great vehicle!
What is the dual light mount you have on the cowling. I really like that. Nice Jeep and great review!
Thanks! It was a quad pod setup from rough country. Came with their mount for the jl/jt
