I am in no way joking when I say I had goosebumps all over my body when I watched this video, not to mention a tear or two. And I know I said before that your Fade into You edit was my favorite, but this is just the frosting on the cake, an absolute masterpiece of editing and coloring. You managed to tell their entire story through a perfect song choice and wonderful editing. I'm still kind of in shock that Midgelenny is canon, but I'm enjoying the high while it lasts, because the final season is gonna break all our hearts, whether or not Lenny dies on-screen. Obviously my favorite part was when they finally hooked up, but I adored how openly Lenny expressed his love for her without even saying the words and how he's just completely captivated by Midge. He was even fucking crying at the prospect of her career not skyrocketing like it should! Once again, you made an incredible piece of art and I thank you for letting all of us see it!
Watching this show I have laughed so hard I cried, but watching this last episode of season 4 I just cried. Midge's act about dead men and the women who have to keep everything going and Lenny talking about the kind of legacy that he actually wants to leave and knowing what is going to happen was heart breaking. I don't mind if they don't really get together and their relationship is more of a friends with benefits thing because honestly that would fit them both but I so want them to stay part of each other's life for as long as Lenny is breathing. Also Juli Grisel if you're taking any requests, maybe do a video featuring the song "Someone to Watch Over Me" from when they slept together because I'm pretty sure that's their song now.

Very well put! I missed the point of Midge’s act about death vs. Lenny’s legacy talk. It wasn’t coincidental but it’s exactly how you said. I’m also assuming they will have friends with benefits type of relationship next season, not an actual relationship because for many reasons it wouldn’t work. I just hope Lenny will be around and I’m sure he will. Probably his addiction starts to be more noticeable. Their friendship will be there. Don’t think the show will do a 5-6 time jump anyway but hopefully we won’t see Lenny dying.
JULI I HAVENT EVEN SEEN THE SHOW BUT I WATCHED BC THEYVE BEEN ALL OVER MY TIMELINE AND THIS MADE ME SPEECHLESS. The song choice was absolutely impeccable and tender. I like how quiet it was and let us focus on the little moments between them. I just have no words for how in love with this I am ahhh this is one of my absolutely FAVORITES from you AHHH
all the parallels! "you're not my wife" to "you're not susie", the "somedays", the throwing of the olive/paper then looking around. THEY ARE SO CUTE!! i am really hoping they either end the show before 1966 (since the carnegie show was in 1961) or they pull a tarantino on this. maybe next season starts with her groveling to him but sigh... one can dream. thanks for the beautiful edit

Yes, I tend to agree with you. I've not been able to see Season 5 yet, but have been completely captivated by Lenny & Midge's blossoming relationship. I feel he has fallen deeply for her, and whilst being completely respectful in his actions and amusing words; his looks at her can be quite breathtaking. Maybe some of it is due to "the Ways of The Times" in which this show is set, or, their Age and Life Experience differences?! Either way, Luke Kirby is a fabulous actor and I just love this portrayal of an older more mature (but still drop-dead gorgeous!) man. Like so many other Commenters, I'd love to see him do Lenny as a film. 💖RjB

I think Midge kinda playing like RL Lenny's Honey. Every time Midge needs him, he is there looking out for her. Their genuine concern for each other is one thing that makes us love them.
