Midge’s elegant sophistication and Lenny’s suave seductive manner are a combination of perfection and Luke Kirby’s performance is just incredible and filled with magnetism. When I see Luke/Lenny though it makes me so sad thinking of the real Lenny Bruce and how his life turned out.

Argh!!!! This scene is sublime. I keep coming back to it. It is just so so so so sexy. The direction, the music, the set...all setting up a couple who truly need no assistance when it comes to chemistry ❤
This scene is just so perfect, it's not just sexy it's pure art. The cinematography, the music choice, the position of both Lenny and Midge when they're just sitting there in the beginning, her arm in that line with the cigarette when it spins to look at her, it's absolutely perfect.
...not to mention the absolutely brilliant dialogue....do i have a hair out of place?? I didnt know how to tell you 😂. Lenny looks around "what do you think?"...mm - "if only it had a bit more atmosphere" 😂😂😂
The way they look at each other is so intense it's making me physically uncomfortable, omg. I feel like I should leave the room and I'm not even in the room...
I must have watched this scene over 100 times, it's so erotic, both of them undressing each other with their eyes. They definitely had me convinced they are in lust 🔥🔥🔥 I totally adore these two characters - Excellent script writing and acting.
I know--I am proabably on my 59th rewatch and the "I didn't know how to tell you" line peirces my heart every.sing.time. I have never witnessed a scene so full of intese love and vulnerability. This. This is top tier.

The show stayed true to major events, so it was impossible for them to ever end up together. I'm just happy they had a good night together. Their relationship was so well-written.
Does anybody know what kind of dance they do? I am not sure if the song (till there was you) counts as Jazz Pop and if what they are dancing are jazz steps or simple box steps or something else. Anybody have an idea?
What irritates me about this scene... the singer and the guitarist move through the room very freely. How do they handle the cables without anyone tripping over them?
I have had to let it go. I have said the same thing for years. I've just finally had to ignore it and accept the scene for the otherwise perfection that it is.
They trained/practiced. It's like all the Motown artists on Ed Sullivan or Bandstand. They do the choreography without tripping on the mics. Unless you meant the audience, not the performers.
The camera work in this scene is incredible and just adds to the intensity.

Why does it make you sad? He was well respected, successful and died doing what he loved. Drugs. Don't be sad, be happy that he lived his dream

“We’re gonna dance” YES LITERALLY WHATEVER YOU SAY

I swear everytime they stare at each other my whole being vibrates
Yep
How does it make you feel?
I get horny
The Lenny says one thing with his mouth and another with his eyes. So magical, every time, no matter how many times I rewatch this!
This scene... woah the tension 🙀
I kn right
this just appeared on my youtube and it hits different after 4x08
For reallllll😫
The 3rd season is a cultural festival. The 4th season is really just a strip show...
Watch the way he caresses her arm. Never saw that before just magical
This scene deserves an Emmy itself.
Yes they do
For copying shot for shot a Soviet propaganda film from 1964? It’s even the same song.

“I Am Cuba”
The original song/scene is from the film Soy Cuba (1964)
The way he gentle placed her hand on his neck and caressed her arm. Chefs kiss. Absolutely beautiful
This was my favorite episode of that season.
And Best scene from SOY CUBA. Yeah?
Lenny holding his cigarette and rubbing the other fingers of the same hand together is magic! What acting, saying volumes in just a simple gesture
The way they look at each other is so intense it's making me physically uncomfortable, omg. I feel like I should leave the room and I'm not even in the room...
Great. Now I have to watch the episode again. Sooo good.Great show
Going to cry when it ends next year 😭
Lenny in love with midge
They are not naked, they are not in bed, they are not kissing... But this scene is the most erotic scene I have ever seen.
I rewound and rewound just to obsess over the chemistry! The way he looks at her
WOW my favorite of all
I agree. I wAtch it over and over. Can't get enough of these two
Much more erotic than the Blue Room. Much.

I’m mesmerized.. by how the singer can walk around that whole place with a mic cord
Gives me chills.
No sex. Just dancing. most sensual scene ever. Watch over and over. ❤
She really likes him. Obvious. Beyond a reasonable doubt.
If this was a play, I would watch it live every night.

this is fucking crazy

I’m so sad they didn’t end up together 😢

Questions: How long is that cord for that mic and how much more does she want: the crab and the fish to sing "Kiss da girl?"

I think it's rumba.

Loco amor i think
The song is Loco amor by Pedrito Martinez
It’s a Spanish cover of Paul Anka’s “Crazy Love”

Did they steal this idea from Soy Cuba?
I wonder how your asses will burn when you find out that the entire scene, including music and camera work, is stolen from the Soviet film "Soy cuba"?
None at all considering that “Soviet” had nothing to do with creating this scene.
