I just saw A Ted talk with a scientist who talked about a woman who went into a doctor for a stem cell injections around her eyes and the stem cells turned into bones and had to be removed. The other example he gave was stem cells that blinded a woman. He says stem cells are coming but we have to make sure they are the good ones and not the bad ones. The stem cells do different things and if we want the ones that grow collagen and we have to make sure they are the ones that Grow collagen. Hopefully this woman didn’t damage Her skin. This would be awesome if it actually works and hopefully it does actually work someday. Stem cells do work well injected into joints.
The Ted talk was by scientist Daniel Kota. He said no scientist was involved with stem cells for face lifts. He also discussed a case of 2 or 3 men who were blinded after a doctor injected them with stem cells to help with mascular degeneration. Kota was concerned because that doctor had gone to the FDA attempting to give the impression that his eye stem cell procedure was somehow approved or by the FDA, tricking the patients into thinking it was safe. Kota concludes that doctors, who are often overly motivated by profit, shouldn't be experimenting with stem cell treatments. Instead, reputable scientists, who are more knowledgeable, and safety focused, should be in charge of developing stem cell procedures, which could also be overseen by the FDA, for final approval. Scientist Daniel Kota believes that stem cell procedures are the future.

It depends what type of cells you use, bone marrow cells are likely hard to work with, this is why they use babies cause they have unassigned cells
