I've been curious about this process and it doesn't look too hard if you aren't afraid to disassemble the knife. I wouldn't have expected the dye to cover as well as it did. I assumed you would need to start with a white scale for the dye to be effective and these came out looking great!
Awesome! I just did my “drop out” yesterday with some left over purple dye and gave it more of a deep/rich burgundy color to it which I’m actually surprised, it isn’t too bad.

As long as the color of the dye is darker than the color of the scales, it should not be a problem. (From what I have seen on UA-cam)
