For the installation of mac, the hard disk partition should be in the GPT (GUID partition table) scheme formatted.
(Warning: It Will Erase All Data From Hard Disk)
While trying to format your MacBook or iMac, you may get an error similar to 'this disk doesn't use GUID partition table scheme' or 'GUID partition table scheme is required'.
this disk doesn't use the GUID Partition Table scheme. How to fix this problem during Mac OSX Installation. First, I will show you the exact problem in life. If you are not subscribed to this channel, press the red subscribe button and bell icon. You will get my new video updates.
Ok. Here I will click on Install macOS. and continue.
Click continue again. agree to the license agreements.
now you can see the mac hard disk partition is inactive. if you click on the partition, it will pop up an error saying ' this disk doesn't use the GUID Partition Table Scheme. Use the disk utility to change the partition scheme. select the device containing the disk, click the erase button, select the volume scheme and then click erase'.
now let us check how to fix this problem.
first quit the macOS installation.
open disk utility
you can see, on some system, if you select the disk and click on erase, you can't see the option to choose GUID Partition Scheme.
In this case, cancel it and from the disk utility menu, click on the view button.
choose to show all devices.
Now select the Hard disk as shown here.
then click on the Erase button. Now the scheme option is available.
here, as usual, you can choose the disk name. Select format'macOS extended (journaled). Choose the scheme "GUID Partition Map'. Then click on the erase button.
done. now exit disk utility.
Install Mac OS again. agree to license agreements.
Now you can see the mac hard disk is active. select the Mac OSX partition and install it. This time there are no any errors.

Absolutely brilliant! Was struggling with this for hours. Also note that 8f you're running an older Mac like me (2014 Air) and older versions of OSX, this method also works. The only difference is that you're not given the GUID option in Disk Utility so instead, just rename the partition OSX and select the 'journaled and encrypted version'. Works fine

Just so you know guys ,in my case i didn't have VIEW option so first i had to create the partition and while creating the partition it gave me the option to change the SCHEME. Thanks :)

@@ttp_hylyfeI ended up having to make a partition as well. While creating one at the bottom left it’ll say options which will allow you to change it to Guid Tables. Once created you’ll have to erase it from the disk

It is berrer to remove all external hard drive during this disk partition and formating process. Otherwise you may delete datas from external drive.
