Looks like one person is super jelly. Nice setup!
Awesome studio! And you clearly explain everything in the video. It is a treat to watch bro.
Thanks Zenith!
Whoa ! Formidable set up!!!
Thanks Justin! Been checking out your channel, good stuff over there!
Those are fantastic rooms Marshal. Glad to see you got everything set up!
Nice setup Marshal ENJOY !!!
Thanks Bobby! Synth heaven over here 😇
Great setup Marshal. Especially like the classic Rolands. I’ve always felt that the JD/JP/V-synth were some of Roland’s most powerful, unique machines that don’t get the love they deserve. Awaiting their future digital flagship synths.
Agreed, Roland was making some really great gear back then.
A very diverse setup. For me it would be too much choice, I'd spend the whole day deciding which one to play rather than playing )
Lol, thanks Oleg 😁 so many awesome synths so little time!
Man, this setup would make Depeche Mode jealous! I'm drooling
great set up - well thought out !
Many thanks, ozorg!
yeah man that's a killer setup. digging your tracks on Soundcloud.
Many thanks, Donn!
Excellent video! Subbed.
Thanks for watching 😁 and thanks for the sub!
Think might move in next door.....knock knock err can I borrow that kyria?😁🙌😎 Great tour n lush studio!
And a stick of butter?
@@impurfekt 😂😂
Oh sure, only love me for my Kyra lol j/k thanks Inky 😁
@@MarshalArnold well that n ya car like? Oh n ya good looks lol but defo.last😂😂😂😂 think you should delete this comment omg crying hehehe
@Trololo Inc ® 😂😂😂😂 lol no borrow always trying to give back to community/party?? 😉🙌
Very nice Studio! I'm looking the same stand for synth you show on 14,30mn. Do you have a link for this?
Absolutely awesome! Now, all we need is the address, some anesthetic and big truck ;) Have a great weekend!
Lol, would need a big truck 😁
@@MarshalArnold Size DOES matter ;)
Hey, nice to meet you via Reverb. I love all the classic Rolands. Let's just say my studio is a little bit more "streamlined" than this. Teacher salary, you know. I hope to see you get some nice creative use out of the Prophet '08.
DAMM !!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Okay, time to actually watch the video...
Way to throw the Venom under the bus. Epic.
Zencore called out! Spicy.
Wicked DX-7 burn.
I wish you could still get a MIDINES.
I suddenly have the desire to do a synth trash-talking episode with the boys.
Lol, stupid Venom 😎
Lol we should! EchoKract is down, I'll ck with Mr Cowfood and we'll get something in the works!
@@MarshalArnold EchoKract? Did something happen? Did he snap and go off grid? (totally understandable). Yeah. Count me in. I'm good for whenever.
lol i said the same thing when he ripped on Zencore... oh dang that was spicy! 😂
Lol totally fat finger event right there 🤣
So many synths that I needed to borrow sticks...and still didn't have enough--couldn't shake a stick at them all! ;) Out of all of your Roland synths, which do you favor the most?
Ooh out of all the Roland stuff I actually use the drum machines the most.. But otherwise, V-Synth is my fav 😁
The only thing missing is a pair of Hedd Type 20s. Excellent studio(s)!
Thanks, good boid!
Ik wnana go back
Thanks for sharing. I wish you would have touched on the power supplies. You have at least 50 things plugged in & those rooms probably have 3 outlets, how do you do it?
Oh, I use Furman M-8X2 power conditioners. Have 4 of those in the main room and 2 in the second. They allow 8 devices at once. I have several outlets in the room and have spread the power as evenly as possible. Works well, knock on wood no issues and it's rare I have everything powered up all at once. Hope that helps!
Wanted to add I have a few regular power strips as well, but those mostly are for the PCs, cameras and displays.
@@MarshalArnold Thanks for the feedback, I always wonder how these home studios power all that gear. Great setup!
@@temporoboto many thanks! Yeah, power can be challenging! Glad to have enough outlets to set everything up!
Nice setup but was puzzled why so many patch cables. Don't you have your synths normalled through to your mixer inputs?
Thanks! Yes normaled through the patch bay. Top row is all the synths, bottom row goes to the mixer. Only 16 ins on the mixer and 24 outs for synths, so the patching allows me to route any synth at anytime very easily.
Hi Marshal, you may already know, UA-cam has lots of demos showing how to removing yellowing from plastics, with hydrogen peroxide and uv light, try the "odd tinkering" channel. Or search"retro bright"
Oh yeah, seen that technique on 8bit guy. I Might give it a TRY!
This is Deee Setup, Dream Setup
Absolutely stunning setup and gear. I just love how you seemed to have a sound tool for every job at your disposal.
Good choice on Td sounds better than the xoxbox imo. Bought one years ago sold it.
Good call on monitors. If it ain't broke dont fix it.
Hey Adam! Thanks man, yeah it does help having a wonderful selection of instruments to call on for things. Guess I'm glad I never pulled the trigger on the xoxbox then lol I remember the promo vids made me think it was as close to an OG as you could get.. Maybe at the time that was true.. But def no longer.
Agree monitors are most over rated studio gear..got whole on that subject lol
@@InkyDaCaT From a practical standpoint monitor technology hasn't made any meaningful advancements in decades. Nothing wrong with picking a set that's in good working condition and sticking with it until it dies.
@@impurfekt true words bro..I'm mixin on old pioneer stereo n sh.t speakers..4 monitors not used(but have dreams of quad..only reason I keep?) then check on phone jobs a gooden lol
Sweet space !! Planning on a Super 6?
Thanks Derek! Would love to eventually, but I think I have my eye on a Voyager next.
Fill the living room with the synths packed away!
Ooh yeah, need some more stands an tables, but it is the plan for sure!
Can you list out the truss/beams name and what cameras and software you use for streaming? my son wants to get set up to do some streaming.
Oh sure, I'll get you some info and reply back 👍
Overhead truss:
Glide Gear OH 150 Overhead Camera / Light Rig Modular System
Software
Wirecast for streaming, but there is a program called OBS Studio which is free.
Cameras
GoPro (x3)
Sony A6000
Sony FDR-AX53
Marshal Arnold for starting out with 2 cameras which would you grab? Is there a switcher?
Would depend on budget and skill with cameras, but a good Sony or Canon mirrorless or DLSR would be good, but GoPro cams are nice too because they're cheap compared to other cams, and are small and easy to use.
As for the switching, the software on the PC handles that in my setup. I use Blackmagic intensity pro capture cards in that machine and connect the cams straight to those. Then I use a Stream Deck to switch shots on the fly. Can use a mouse as well, so Stream Deck not necessarily needed other than for convenience.
