    I considered a sarcastic comment about how in depth this process was… but your video and the info you provided is top notch. Great job, and thanks!
    I’m just going to eat $300 and get another iPad for my daughter after I botched the digitizer replacement. Note: removing the face on this particular model was more difficult than any other I’ve repaired.

    Just used this video to successfully replace both touch FPCs I managed to mangle while changing a digitiser on an iPad 7. Screwed up 2 FPCs with my first attempt then watched this video and successfully replaced - all now working 😁 Thanks Jessie, brilliant video as always. Just purchased one of your seek pro stands from Replacebase in the UK 👌

    I managed to damage both of the fpc connectors on an ipad 7... I was only changing a charge port (which one of your vids helped me with removing a perfectly good digitiser and lcd) now I'm changing both fpc sockets on the board and the other side on the digitiser ribbon. Plus I managed to drop the good lcd.... I think I should stick to games consoles.....screens are a pain in the a**
    Think I need more practise, thanks for your vids they have really helped!

    Hi Jesse great video, just wodering that even if the lcd/digitizer FPC conenector are not working is still possible to put the ipad in DFU mode to recover the data??

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  2 роки тому

      Not that's not possible
      Only way to get data is to boot it up, unlock the screen and trust the PC

      Thanks for the sub! I am using the Power Z USB Meter along with their PC software. Then with OBS, I just create a source to share that software on the screen.

    dude, this is just one, if not the, best showcase on how to do work like this.
    outstanding!
    I do hate this type of connector. Everybody should use ZIF connectors instead. god damn it, apple.. one wrong move and these f.. are broken. I got an ipad here that has *BENT* connectors and it's near impossible to bend them to be straight, so the touchscreen works half and half not and who knows what that can cause. LUCKILY the cables are glued between the digitizer and the LCD, so no easy way to repair that, without replacing the whole damn thing.
    why did it break? because you have to take the WHOLE DAMN TABLET apart, just to replace a very aged battery.
    I hate apple sometimes...

      And yes, these connectors break so easy 😂
