Mickey is a good bloke! Thanks for the shout out mate 👍It's not hard to be nice, even Johnny Rotten said once "I try so hard to be nice". I love hearing you talk about the Jam Mike. Cheers...Ben
I remember the first jam song I heard was Eton rifles and I didn’t know what to think of it. Then I heard man in the corner shop and I just fell in love with them. That same day I went to a record store and bought a jam best of CD. I think my favorite is setting sons if I had to choose, but really to me all mod cons, setting sons and sound affects are tied at number one
🤔🤔🤔I'm thinking sound affects, it's just to difficult to single 1 album out coz they done too much good stuff, 👍 I still listen to the albums now , going to see weller at the city hall and I'm not that excited simply because he won't do many jam songs.😢😢😊
Great stuff, Mike! Totally agree about the Jam debut being a punk album with mod influences. Love Art School, my band used to do a pretty terrible cover version of it. For me, the best Jam album is Setting Sons… it’d probably be in my top ten albums. London Girl is the best song on This Is The Modern World for me too. Would love to hear those demos from the first album. Great contest entry … Good luck!
Hey brother thank you so much for making such a thoughtful entry into my contest, as well as the awesome shoutout ya gave my tunes. Loved hearing about The Jam, wasn't familiar with their stuff previously but you sold me and I have to check em' out. That was honestly a big part of the reason I chose this as the criteria for my contest entry, I wanted to be exposed to new artists, so this was the perfect entry!!! Cheers my friend, looking forward to getting to know ya. BTW sorry it took me so long to give a proper response, took a bit of a Social Media break but am back at it now!

Awesome choice with the Jam, Mike. I just looked up that Jam box. It is expensive now! I was late to the Jam, but I really love them.
The jam done a few really good albums , can't really make my mind up which one I prefer 😮
All Mod cons is my favourite, followed closely by Setting Sons. I think out of the first 2 the second is a stronger album but the debut is iconic.
